I ordered a gift basket (aka gift hamper) to be delivered to my sister from a UK based online gift company called Giftinspiration.com. They sent me an email confirming the order, and also an email when the order was supposedly delivered. I talked to my sister who informed me that she had not recieved the order. I informed Giftinspiration.com, who said that they did deliver to the address I provided, and would do nothing further to help me. My sister walked around her neighborhood (while pregnant) and asked neighbors and shopowners if they had seen her basket. Several houses away, an honest shopowner had been holding the package for her. By this point, the food items in the basket had gone bad. I informed Giftinspiration.com of what my sister had to do to retrieve my gift to her. They refused to converse with me. I began to dispute the charges for the basket with my credit card company, who tried to contact Giftinspiration.com as well. At this point, Giftinspiration.com contacted me, and threatened to call UK police if I did not withdraw my dispute. I informed my credit card company of the threatening email. The credit card company allowed Giftinspiration.com 45 days to help mediate the dispute. They did not budge. My credit card company provided me with a 1/2 price refund of the product ordered. I will be an american express customer for life, and will never ever use giftinspiration.com again.
