I hired Giudici & Son to do numerous upgrades to my house including, increased amps, ceiling lights install of 2 ceiling fans. The company was pricey but recommended by a friend so we went with them. A team arrived on time as scheduled however I did notice that several young men were handling the installation of much of the electrical fixtures, under the light supervision an older (presumed more experienced) man. The job was completed and I thought all was good until I began experiencing immediate problems with the bedroom ceiling fan...it would turn off and on by itself (at high speed). I actually had to turn it off by the breaker switch) I was told by Giudici that it was the fan not the install. This was a higher end fan ($500)and although the fan company (Hunter Douglas) claims to never have experienced a problem like this before they sent the replacement parts (for the remote) they thought may be helpful. The problem was not fixed. This went on for a few months...on and off...then the more serious problem occured. Which was the kitchen ceiling fan began to shake and wobble and before we could turn it off it fell right out of the ceiling!!! Glass and parts sprayed the kitchen. Luckily none of my family nor our animals were under it at the time!!! (This fan was rarely turned on - used mostly for lighting) We immediately called Guidici and were told that this was unheard of and that it must be a defect in the fan. They refused to send anyone over and refused to acknowledge the situation. We were again directed to the fan distributor, who has never had a complaint of this nature. We got no where with either company and are left confused as to who is at fault. We have since installed high hats in the kitchen and installed a different fan in the bedroom. So far all is good and no we didn't use Giudici or Hunter Douglas.
