FG-1615 are advertised as: the ultimate protection, first line of defense and clear choice. They said" sleep soundly your family and your home are safe and sound" we will be up all night". I had 6 of them installed by ADT technician who removed my motion detector " claiming that with those 6 superior glass breaking detectors motion detector is not needed.
Based on some contradictory information I have hammered variety of glass bottles, jars, window glass in front of every single one without any detection of the broken glass by glass break sensors (165$ each}. I notified ADT and repeated the same hammering glass challenge without any detection in presence of TWO different ADT technicians. Alarm sounded only when they either hit sensors with the head of a screwdriver or used tester provided by Honeywell. Your sensors ARE WORKING they said. They two supervisors said the same. Those glass breaking sensor should be activated by broken glass not by testers or screwdrivers hit in the head. I do not believe that the intruder would be kind enough to alert me to his presence by using either screwdriver or tester.
To protect my home I had motion sensor removed by ADT technician as not needed installed by ADT and shamefully charged 170$?? Shame!
Until either Honeywell or ADT prove to me that heir glass breaking detectors
are detecting broken glass I do consider them worthless junk offering expensive false security.
I welcome Honeywell and ADT representative as well as representatives of Better business bureau, Attorney generals office, Press, TV or interested officials interested to protect general public from such an " ultimate protection" to do glass hammering testing in front of glass breaking detectors which do not detect any kind of broken glass.
