I hold an account with MBNA for which Global Vantedge collect the payments by DD, however, they missed a payment of £6 for whatever reason and now keep calling me arrange collection of this payment.I have informed them that the number that they hold for me is not my home number it is my work number and can they please remove it from their system. (I made the mistake of calling them from the number once!) ..They have not removed it and continue to call me on my works number badgering me for the £6 .. I have explained that I don't have a way of paying the £6 as I have no debit/credit card and if they sent me a slip to pay it at the PO/bank i would do so..But please remove the works number..But no avail!

I'm helping a gentleman who happens to be in Iraq serving take care of an issue with a Sears credit card. Most of the charges on the card are interest and overage charges. This person was sent a letter accepting that I was only going to authorize for a specific amount of payment because that was all that could possibly be charges made while he was here and not overseas. He received a letter accepting the amount and stating "acceptance by Global Vantedge Inc. $..... as a settlement of your account...." They received a cashiers check for the amount of the settlement and it was accepted and cashed. Now I found out they have some how tracked down his mother and an uncle (totally different last names and addresses) and have called them to harrass for the difference on the account. This is not acceptable practice and they should not be allowed to continue. The boy has not been in the country for almost 2 years, the card was canceled before he left for Iraq and Sears has continued to put charges on the card even after he notified them of his deployment. I can't believe that a company is allowed to send letters of settlement and not settle and classify the matters as settled.
