Global Web & Pacific Web Works Reviews

Jaazee May 21, 2009
Web Site Design Scam
In 2001 my sister and I purchased a total of web sites (10) from Global Web for the price of $1, 800.00. Other fees we incurred included leasing a merchant account at the rate of $69.95/month, plus a reseller’s license of $99.00 and monthly hosting fees of $9.95 per month per activated web site. Overall, we have paid Global Web in excess of $3, 405.00. Soon after our initial purchase, I discovered that the Global Web’s software, Quicksitemaker, that customers used to build their web sites, was faulty. For instance, the Internal Search Engine component did not work. Overall, the software was outdated and some critical features common in other web design software available at that time. When I tried contacting Global Web about the faulty features, they did nothing to correct the problems. Needless to say, we who had purchased these web sites, could not in good faith sell these faulty web sites to other potential customers. Global Web never corrected the problems nor refunded our money. During April 2009 and May 2009, I paid for two promotional campaigns to help promote my business on my web site, www.efs-enterprises.com. Then on May 15, 2009, when I tried to access my web site to monitor the statistics, I learned that my web site had been removed from the internet. This was a critical time for me and my business because I needed my web site to help promote my business and to help support the ad campaigns I had recently paid for. In an effort to determine what had happened and to get my web site back up on the internet, I tried accessing the Quicksitemaker web site (www.quicksitemaker.com). Much to my surprise, the Quicksitemaker web site was no longer on the internet. I conducted further internet search in an effort to locate contact information for Global Web and Quicksitemaker. I then discovered a group called Quicksitemaker Forum Through this forum I learned that Global Web had allegedly been “bought out” by a company named Pacific Web Works (www.pacificwebworks). I tried contacting a representative at Pacific Web Works and was directed by a customer service rep to someone she referred to as “Chris”. I called this “Chris” but was able to get only his voice mail on which he identified himself only as “Chris” i.e., minus his last name. I then left a message for “Chris”, explaining my situation and requesting that he call me back immediately. To date, I’ve not been contacted by this “Chris”, or by any other representative of Pacific Web Works, or from anyone at Global Web. My situation is urgent and my company is losing money due to the reckless, irresponsible, unethical conduct of Global Web and Pacific Web Works. My business is suffering financially without a web site and now I am faced with additional financial burdens from possibly having to get another web site designed. I’m losing increasing amounts of money. I’m asking you to quickly intervene and help me and my sister recoup our money that is owed us by Global Web and Pacific Web Works as well as an money for ongoing expenses we’re incurring due to Global Web and Pacific Web Works’ reckless behavior.

Furthermore, evidence of other customers’ problems with Global Web and/or Pacific Web Works may be found at:
1) Rip-Off.com (/URL removed/)
2) Quicksitemaker Users Group Forum (http://pub15.bravenet.com/forum/static/show.php?usernum=1229911022&frmid=1091&cmd=showrecent&cp=1)
Thank you.
