free trial/deceptive advertising
Company advertises, using pop-up ads on the internet. They indicate a free trial for the cost of shipping and handling, only. No monetary amount other than shipping and handling charge. After completing the order information and credit card information and submitting it, a separate email is received. It indicates that you are billed $0.00 for the product and $4.95 for shipping and handling. At the bottom of the page, in small print, it states that if you decide to keep the product, $78.00 will be billed to your credit card.

The ad leads the customer to believe that they are paying only shipping and handling for a free trial product. However, what is actually purchased, is a free trial period with an inflated follow-up charge.

Deceptive Advertising
I also saw this company's offer to try their mineral cosmetics for only 4.95 S&H. Luckily, when they sent me a confirmation e-mail, I read it carefully and saw that if I kept the cosmetics they would charge me $90. I immediately sent them an e-mail telling them to cancel my order. They did not respond until the next day (even though they are located in CA, and therefore are 3 hours behind me). They told me it was too late to cancel; the order was shipped. They told me I could return it unopened and receive a full refund. Once I received the box, I called to get an RMA number to return my package. While I was talking to the rep, he told me that my order was actually shipped two days AFTER I e-mailed them to cancel the order! I was livid. I was then told that not only would I not receive a refund for my shipping charges, but I would also not receive the original shipping.

So, out of the 38.95 plus another 10.00 to return it, I received a refund of 29.00.

A TOTAL RIPOFF!!! Do not fall for this!

free trial
Online I responded to an offer of a free trial of a face cream for only the cost of postage and handling $6.95. Idiot that I am I did not read the packing slip which told me I had to return the Bottles within 14 days or I would be charged $96. I had no idea of this until I saw a charge on my bank account of 96. I called the company and they say they will refund my money when they recieve the bottles back. I consider this FRAUD IF NOT THEFT. MY FREE TRIAL HAS NOW COST $10.00 postage and my haveing to borrow money from family to keep my account from being overdrawn. I should have checked this out before responding to this ad . They do not tell you what you are agreeing to before you sign up

misleading advertising
This is very misleading advertising. The understanding is that you are receiving free sample sizes of a product and just paying for shipping but what happens is
they send you larger sizes and sign you up for automatic shipments, after all they have your credit card details. I have cancelled this and am returning the items unused. These are shoddy business practises and I do not want to deal with a company who would think of trying to trick people in this way. The general public have been taken advantage of enough over the years and this type of fraudulent behaviour should cease.

Unauthorized charges
I did sign up for the free trial of this product and once I received it I went online and canceled my account. I did request to send it back but didn't realize that it had to be done by a specific date. I looked at my checking account because of some overdraft fees I was charged with. I then saw where this company had taken $90.00 from my account. My income is limited and every penny I have has a specific purpose. I now have all kinds of problems with overdrafts and no money due to this transaction. I requested my money be refunded but was told since I hadn't returned the product in time that they could only offer a store credit. THAT WON'T HELP ME. I want my money put back in my account now. Is there anywhere else to go to get help?

Deceptive Free Trial
I fell for the shampoo trial for $4.95 s&h and canceled because the product made my hair dry and frizzy.
Even though I followed all the instructions, called, returned the product AND even received a Confirmation of my cancellation, they still charged my credit card $108. Unbelievable!! And to add insult to injury, they say they will not give me my money back!! BUYER BEWARE!! Do NOT do business with this scam company! They will take hundreds of dollars from you and think nothing of it! I only wish I had seen the hundreds of bad reviews before I fell into the trap!

free trial
I clicked on an ad for a "free trial" of mineral makeup for which I paid $4.95. When I got the box, there was documentation inside saying I would have cancel within 30 days or else be charged $90 dollars. I read the receipt that came with the delivery--thankfully---so I'm returning it...but if I hadn't, I would have been charged $90 for something advertised as "free." As it is, I didn't like the makeup and now I've paid $4.95 to have the "free trial" delivered and then additional shipping and handling charges to ship it back. I'm sure the details are somewhere in the fine print but it's willfully deceptive, which, in my book = scam.

receiving credit for a return
I was ordering a free trial of their cosmetics and I ended up being sent make-up every month. I was put on a auto sending every month. When I returned their cosmetics I was given a tracking number and told my credit card would be credited. Instead I was charged another month of cosmetic's I did not even have and was told my return never was delivered. Folks stay away from this company they are running a huge scam, and I was a victim.

unauthorized membership
I ordered a "free trial makeup product" in a weak moment by clicking an ad on MSN internet explorer home page. I paid for a "free trial" product. Received it and paid for shipping and handling, only to note that there was a $90.00 membership. I went through several days (hours on the phone, an email link that was inoperatable for refunds/cancellation). I finally got an official return label (required for you to return the product) and cancel membership and sent it back... following their instructions with note to cancel any further contact.

I just saw a bill for a $90.00 membership fee from Glow.com on my credit card bill. I am disputing that unauthorized charge. BEWARE. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Please let me know where I can file a formal legal complaint, if you know. This company should be out of business and not allowed to advertise on reputable internet explorer sites.
Good luck with the phone number.. They will put you on hold for HOURS and only operate during limited hours...and then won[t respond.

Deceptive Free Trial
The Glow.com free trial offer is deceptive. They only charge shipping (around $10) when you accept the offer. In small print it states they will charge $98 in 30 days if not returned. I caught it just in time and called for an RMA number which they did give me. I have to ship it back and call them with the tracking number. You cannot do this online you have to call them. This would be very easy to miss and if you don't check your credit card charges miss that as well.
