I have 1999 Cadilla Seville SLS. Car stopped running since January 2011. I took the car to local auto shop to get it repaired. However, the mechanic found the car problem related to the part available through Cadillac dealer only. The car got transport to Cadillac dealer for repair on February. Parts got back order and waiting game begun ever since.
Parts on back order is "Theft deterrent module"
Each week, I called to check status of back order.
Dealer parts department can not give out the available date since GM don't give out this item back order status.
In March, we received availability of the part. Dealer got response from GM supplier.
MIDDLE OF MAY
It was very frustrating. But, there is no other choice but, wait for the part.
I called back parts center for delivery status in May. They keep asked me call back next day for more information for few days.
Now, on June 3rd 2011, after number of phone conversation, dealer told it will not be available until end of June.
I wonder how many more weeks or months do I have to wait for this parts.

I understand some parts or ALL PARTS of prestige American auto are manufactured over sea. However, what about customer service?
GM can't even provide available date for back ordered parts?
Is GM really give damn about their reputation?
