I am a current Go Relax Travel Employee, who has been working for the company for a long time.
I just want to inform the people out there who often misunderstand the concept of the packages, the way it works:
GRT is a company with all its necessary licences to operate and issue vacations the way the company does.
This comes self explanatory when just thinking that to be on any radio station in the US you must give what you offer, which in this company its always done.

Also all our representatives are constantly being monitored in their live conversations to ensure consumer satisfaction and avoid any misunderstandings between the company and the person participating in the promotion thats on the phone.

After the participant is greeted and has completed his/her registration process, the Verifying process begins where a certified manager goes over all the participants information and goes through the promotion disclosure in a recorded conversation, which is kept in the system for both parties safety.

The fee that you cover is always stated in the conversation and its never hidden. Promotion participants are always told about this fee and well informed that their credit/debit card is going to be used to cover it.

To backup that information, and avoid comments like the ones mentioned above this one, where people claim that certain information was not given in the registration and verification steps, the company has on record the conversations with the participants, and track of dates of any activity with the consumers account.

Sometimes its easier to blame others for our mistakes, in this case blame a company that has been operating under US laws for the last 6 years all over the nation, when the real solution to the problem should be that people like that should not have a debit or credit card, because an item this important should always be used with a high degree of prudence, just like when you sign that contract and terms agreement for that brand new car.


Just because we are over the phone and you are not physically sitting in front of our desk doesn't mean that theres different laws and rights.

I also recommend for you not to go to a Casino or place where legal gambling activity is being hosted, because in such places where alcoholic drinks are freely handed to the guest as longs as he/she is playing, after loosing your money on the multiple games going on, I still havnt heard of someone that asked the casino for their money back.

My advice to all the people on the internet writing complains and all kinds of lies, is to just listen to the conversation that YOU had, where everything was explained to you, take your family to your destinations, and Go Relax.

At the end, you spent less then $500.00 in what could be a vacation for Christmas eve and another vacation for new years eve for your (4 person) standard family, or for any other time.

I called to a radio station in spanish to tell the name of the singer of one of the songs that was being played at that moment and they offered me a trip to Cancun, and Las Vegas. When they took my phone call, that was not the radiostation, that was this "go relax travel" company. They were offering so many things that made me feel a little bit confused, and during that confusion they asked me about my debit card number to pay for $258.99. They made me feel so confused that I agreed. During the first conversation with one man, they told me I could reject the package whenever I wanted, but when they transfered my phone call to someone else (a woman) she was recording me and she said that once I paid for that money, I could not regret. After a few minutes I finish that call, I called them back to say I did not want that anymore and that I needed my money back. They refused to do it, and I was charged for that money. It is a very tricky thing that they do, just to take advantage of the people who is listening the radio at that moment.

FRAUD
Go Relax Travel got my mom to believe she was winning an all paid expense trip to any destination, for example Cancun. She was listening to 97.5 FM Spanish radio station when a man came on and said, "The person who knows the name of the artist who made 'some song', wins a vacation to the destination of their choice." My mom knew the artist and called thinking it was legitimate because it was the radio, to her dismay it was not the radio, it was Go Relax Travel, tricking the audience into thinking it was the radio. After supposedly winning they asked her for her credit card because they needed to ship some items to her and they charged her $383.98. So she waited to see what they had sent her, it was 1 piece of paper with some information and a small brochure that they call a certificate which also includes the contract. Well, I read everything, which was in English, eventhough the whole deal had been made in Spanish. The fine print states, "You may cancel this contract without any penalty or obligation within 7 days from date of purchase or receipt of the vacation certificate, whichever occurs later." When the account went into effect was 08/13/09, my mom got the package on 08/20/09 so we called that same day to cancel after I read that my mom had to pay taxes, food, which they had said would be included with the hotel. Also she would have to sit through a mandatory 90 minute sales presentation on the benefits of vacation ownership, which had not been mentioned to her. The other conditions in the fine print are: "This program is designed for married couples or single people with a household income of $40, 000-$50, 000... And failure to meet any of these qualifications or attend the presentation would result in you being charged full rack rate on your accommodations." When we called they told us that they could not cancel or return my mom the money, I explained to them that they should be able to since it is written in their so called contract. After awhile they lady told me to fax them the certificate and that a manager would contact us. The manager called a day later to tell us that we could not cancel and my mom hung up on him because he was talking down to her in an aggressive tone. We later spoke to a lady and she was also aggressive. All the people that we have spoken to offer no solution; all they do is argue with us. They call my mom to try to make her stick with it, but my mom has told them, "No" enough times and they just do not seem to want to help. My mom is frustrated and does not know what to do anymore. They do not want to give her money and they want to force her into something that she should be able to cancel.
