$300 GAS CARD OFFER
I got a call the other day from a telemarketer with a very heavy Indian accent who said his name was Herman Dawson and he was with Gold Coast in Arizona. He said his ID # was 0864. He said I had been chosen along with a few others from my state to receive a FREE gas card worth $300 and I could use it at any gas station and there was no expiration date on it. He said he already had my credit on file and all I had to do was verify some numbers. He then asked me for my credit card number. I said I was out in the field and didn't have my card with me. He asked me how long until I would be home. I said in about an hour. He said he would call me back in an hour. I took that time to Google up Gold Coast and you know what I found, right? Anyway, he didn't call me back until the next day. He went through the whole deal again and I told him I wouldn't give my credit number to him. I said you already have my number, so go ahead and use it. He was very insistent. I told him if I wanted to accept the offer that I would call him back, but he said that he didn't have number that I could reach him on. I said you sound like a scam artist from India. He hung up on me. All I can say is if you don't initiate the call don't ever give anyone your personal info. KEEP ALERT

$300 free gas card
Got a call from a man who said he was from Gold Coast and that they choose 25 people in every state at the beginning of each year to give them a $300 card for free gasoline at any gas station we choose, and we were one of the 25 in our state chosen. He had a very thick Indian (India) accent. He knew our names and address. He said there is just a $4.97 shipping fee we would have to pay. I told him there is no way I am giving him our credit card number. He got very persistent. I said no, thank you, and hung up. He called back again, trying to talk me into it. I said no, thank you, again and hung up. He called again. I told him to stop calling. He told me to "shut up and listen to him." I told him, no, that I don't want what he's offering, and hung up. He called again. My husband answered and told him to stop calling us. He told my husband to shut up and give the phone to me. My husband said no, and told him to stop calling us, and hung up. He called again. I answered and asked him what his name was. He said that he already told me his name when he first called. I asked him to repeat it. He said I already know it. I asked where Gold Coast was located. He said Florida. I asked what his supervisor's name was. He said, "MotherF***er". I told him not to call us again, and hung up. He called again. I answered and told him he can call us as many times as he wants, but we won't answer. He called about 4 or 5 more times. We did not answer and he did not leave a message on our machine. He finally stopped calling. Ugh. What a creep.

Gas Card Scam
I recevied a phone call from a Paul Smith ID # 30666 with a thick Indian accsent from a (818) 870-9155 number stating that I just received a free $300 gas card. I asked him what is was for and how he received my information. He stated that he received is from Visa and Mastercard for useing my card. He stated that there was no catch so I let him go on asking him questions about his company. He stated his company was Gold Coast and it was based in Phoenix AZ. He said all he needed was for me to confirm my name and address. I gave it to him waiting for the catch. I was not requested to pay any money however he requested the expiration date of my credit card. I gave this to him them he requested that I get my card and give him the customer code that starts with a 4. I asked him how may numbers and he said 16...That is my credit card number!!! I told him no that he did not need my credit card number. He stated it was only for authorization and that without the 3 didgit number on the back my card could not be used. Excuse me I use my card all the time and rarley do I ever get a request for the 3 didgit number on the back at yet somehow thoes charges go through. I told him If I recieved it for fress. Send it to me in the mail but he was not getting my card number. He continued to insist I then told him to have a good day and hung up. He had the nerve to call me back and ask me to clam down and insisted that this was not a scam. I told him I dissagreed and hung up again...Please do not give your card number out to this company. You do not allways need the 3 didgit code on the back of yout card for a charge to go through. If this realy is aq free no catch gas card then my card number would not be needed.

$300 gas voucher scam
Heavy Indian accent said due to my good credit he's giving me$300 in vouchers and ALL I need to do is verify my credit card number and address and for $4.97 he'll send me the $300 voucher. He gave me his name as "James Malcolm" not exactly an Indian name, telephone 866 239 6788. After I checked online while still on the phone I found a large number of scam hits for this company. When I told him so and that it was a scam, he kept asking if I was a lawyer at which time I hung up. I did call the number and it's supposedly their cancellation number. The operator didn't know the CEO and said they were located in Dearfield Beach, FL.

have a hard time canceling
I try canceling my memebership. Everytime I call the number is busy or I get a recording saying my wait time is seven min. and noone would come on. I wait a long time. They are taking 39.95 a month on my credit card. What can I do? I am so mad at them. I have no use for this.

rudeness of staff
The caller I received a call from said I would be getting $300 free gas and $300 discount shopping card. He wanted my credit card information so he could charge my account a one time only $3.90. I asked for a web site that turned out to be Flora Holland, and I was just getting this gift because I had used my plastic card at Walmart, Target, or somewhere else. I was adamant I was not interested, I said I had gotten screwed more than once by phone calls such as this. He raised his voice more than once and was not very nice, he did not like me telling him I was not interested. I told him I would not do any business with someone who raised their voice on the phone, and he ended with "Have a nice life, Jeanie".

$300 Gas Vouchers??
Lol...ok so this guy calls me, says his name is Mark Benson ID# A1174 employed with Gold Coast Company very very heavy Indian accent, now tell me who with a deep deep Indian accent (probably from a really rich Indian (India) decent) is named Mark Benson??, Lmao he just called back but ill get to that in a moment. So he calls me about these vouchers for $300 of free gas, and I was all over that offer thinkin$300 in gas would be great. He went blah blah blah i told him my name, street, then he tells me $3.90 for shipping/handling.

I told him I didnt have a credit card, debit, or a bank account, I like cashing my paycheck and putting the money in my pocket, well he didnt like that, said I needed to go to a store and get a prepaid card, I said what about a money order? He said they dont accept money orders anymore. So I said ok ok I'll go to Wal-Mart and get a prepaid card call me back tomorrow, he said blah blah blah what time ? I said sometime tomorrow and said I gotta go, dog needs to shit and hung up.

Well I googled the company and what do ya know, I get this website complaintsboard.com and scam scam scam, while I' m reading a post by Susan Maurer "Mark" calls me back not just 3 mins ago and says "Hi Josh, I just need to clarify the time I should call tomorrow and to see if you had ANY card of ANY TYPE??"

I asked him "Do you know what google.com is?" He said "I will give you our website when the $3.90 fee is verified" I started reading to him one of complaints about Gold Coast Company that I see on this website not even skipping a beat, wouldent let him interrupt me and after I read the whole post to him I said "there are a couple hundred more shall I continue?" He said "buh buh buh uh uh uh uh" so then I said "Well my friend you can now take me off your call list because I think your crazy" and hung up...LOL MADE MY MORNING!!

Free Gas Scam
Very heavy Indian accent said I am to receive a free $300 gas card. All I had to do was to pay a shipping fee of $3.40. He asked what type of credit card I used and what the ID number was to verify that I can pay for the shipping charge. I told him I don't use credit cards and how did he get my number. He said I'm a "lucky" recipient of this offer then transferred me to his supervisor. "Robert John" gets on the line, also with as heavy Indian accent to verify my info. I ask him where he was calling from and he said Phoenix. My caller ID had a 909 area code which means Riverside area in Southern California. He tries to put the screws on me and how can I pass up this amazing offer. I ask him what his mailing address is and all of the sudden he can't hear me. I then ask him who the governor of Arizona is and he is then very confused, then he hangs up. I gave him zero info, not even my name. I called the number back 909-842-9147, and it goes to recording about not being available.

free gas card scam
Received call from employee 32141 allegedly from Gold Coast International in Phoenix AZ. Heavy Indian accent. Very insistent. Assuring me I am going to be receiving a free $300 gas card for some reason - I think to do with using my Visa card - he was hard to understand. I figured it was a scam, but was curious as he kept insisting this was a free gas card, that would be delivered in 3 - 5 days. He verified my name and city and then he got to the "all you have to do is pay $4.90 for shipping and handling". I immediately said no thank you. He became even more insistent - why would I not want to spend $4.90 for $300 of free gas - I would not have to pay anything until I got the card. etc. etc. I hung up. We did not get as far as him asking for my credit card info. but I see from similar scams described on this site, that would have been next. Watch out!!
