Just read from Gulfnews that service charge imposed by Restaurants are phobited. It exactly reads as...

"Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy and chairman of the Supreme Committee for Consumer Protection, has warned restaurants against levying the illegal service charges. This followed several complaints received by the Ministry of Economy that some restaurants were adding on as much as 5 to 20 per cent of the bill on the pretext of service charge".

Several restaurants have been continuesly charging this fees to their clients including Golden Fork Restaurant. You will be surprised when your bill came and your bill has exhilirated due to the service charge they are adding. I wonder whether this fee is truly given to the staff who have rendered their service...?!
