My husband, daughter, and I went to the Golden Hibachi Buffet on a Sunday at 8pm, they close at 9:30pm. We have ate here about three times before, and was great. This time was the worst service I have ever received from anyone! To start things off there was hardly any food on the buffett, the food that was on there looked like it had been sitting under the heat lamps drying out for hours, when I managed to find something to eat it was cold, tough, and chewy! So, I decided to get some hibachi, something fresh and hot. while we were there we had seen at least 4-5 more tables seated with a minimum of 4 people per table. Not once, from 8-9:30pm, did I see any food put out on the buffett. My husband then asked a worker to put more food out, the food they did have was going quick, she refused to put more out. All they need to do is cook smaller portions near closing. Next, my husband noticed a pair of tongs on the ground, he picked them up, tried to give them to the worker and she told him to put them back on the counter. They remained on that counter till closing! How gross! When we to pay my husband, asked to have one meal taken of since I only had one bowl of icecream, and one plate of Hibachi, we agreed to pay for the drinks and the other two meals, she just shrugged her shoulders and made us pay full price, which is higher on Sundays. So we paid the 25 dollars, which is alot to me. After we left we called up the owner. She argued with my husband, that they close at 9:30 and they're not going to put more food out. Remember I got there at 8pm, an hour and a half before closing. She continued arguing with my husband, refused to give us any money back, or even one free meal on next visit, which I will not be returning. She then hung up in his face without even apologizing. This was the worst customer service experience of my life! They are very unprofessional, ripoffs, and unsanitary! I suggest no one to go to Golden Hibachi in Augusta, GA on gordon highway!
