Junk vehicles
I bought a truck from Gonzales Auto Sales on 1922 E Van Buren 6 months ago and the vehicle is still a piece of junk. When we bought the Jeep from them I told them of a few things I needed fixed. some of them were brakes, the a/c leak and check engine light. They fixed the breaks for me too but charged me for the parts, a muffler and other stuff (not sure what it was because I never got the reciepts they were supposed to send me) about $350 in addition to buying the truck and paying taxes which added up to a not so good deal anymore. Since I didn't have in writing what they were to fix (with their onsite mechanic) I couldn't take it back when the check engine light came on a few days later (and found out it was a $500 exhaust leak). Then to make matters worse, after months of spending $1000s of dollars on the truck everytime it broke down, the recent brake visit I had at another shop told me whomever did the brakes didn't put the bolt back on the caliper which caused the grinding my 16 year old son had when he was driving and when they inspected the a/c the freon was overfilled in the unit which caused the truck to shimmy during these hotter months. They said it was very unsafe due to that and that the truck looked like it had the whole front end torn apart at one time and not in good shape at all. Yes, I even took my mechanic friend with me to check the jeep out when I bought, but I am not talking to him anymore. So be careful who you pay to inspect your next purchase out. Be careful who you buy from. Have anything you want done in writing before you buy the vehicle.
