Tires do not last
I'm laughing at the coincidental complaints of these tires compared to what I just went thru. I bought the buy 3 get 1 free deal in May 2008. In August 2009 I began having problems, I regularly had the tires rotated. The first tire after only 20K cracked or split and I had to have it replaced/prorated!! Three months later, one had a leak and was plugged while the second was replaced at 24K and prorated!! Three months later I had a flat, again the tire appeared cracked but of course it was my fault for driving it to the service station so I could not vaidate it was a defective tire! No prorating for that one despite 2 down/2 to go at this point. That 3rd tire lasted 29K. Yesterday, March 30K later during a routine oil change it was noted that the 4th tire was complete ripping/tearing, the dealer could not believe it, luckily it was caught and did not cause me another flat/accident on the turnpike. I drove straight to Goodyear and said, this is the 4th tire in less than two years, March 2010, I will never buy another Goodyear. The manager offered to replace all the Goodyear tires with Dunlops which I skeptically agreed, better than Goodyears, right? When I returned to pick up my car, another technician at the desk (I spent 3 hours that a.m. and back to work, not an easy day) tells me that the manager may have to eat the cost of those tires because the tire they replaced was already plugged (true) and that it was probably my fault for driving on a low air tire that caused it to crack!! Thanks so much! I will never go back to Goodyear again. ITS ALWAYS OUR FAULT!??
