I ordered a free kit from Google Success Kit for $1.00. A week later I received a charge of $11.95 to my credit card.

I called the company and they said that when I signed up I agreed to to a one week trial, which is NOT true. Nowhere on that sales page does it say anything about a trial.

You first go to pay for it and it says it will be $5.95, for SHIPPING ONLY, no other costs, I declined and went to back out of offer and one of those automated agents came up and said how about if we only charges you $1.00. Well, it would be stupid if I didn't try it. So, I clicked on the link paid for it a chg. for $1.00 showed up and that was it.

I anxiously awaited for my disk to show up in the mail and nothing. That day I received an email with an access code in it to take a look at their site. There were Free to Download items there. Very cheesy stuff I must admit so, I figured I would bookmark the page I might need it when the disks arrive.
About a week later I noticed that there was a chg. of $11.95 from Google Success Kit and I called them. The woman on the phone said that there was some kind of 7 day trial, I asked where the disks were and she stated that the disks were out of stock and would be shipped to me as soon as they become available.

Well, needless to say I was steamed. I demanded my money back again and she said she couldn't do. I got a supervisor and the same thing.

Now I know why they don't use Paypal. They would be out of business QUICK because Paypal gives the refunds immediately upon disapproval and with as many complaints as this company has.

So, now I'm out $11.95, it's Christmas and no gas in my car. Great.
It's not worth going to the bank. With all the paperwork involved it would be 60 days.

If there is anyway somebody with this can pull some strings and get our money back that would be great.

I would like My $1.00 and $11.95 back that I never authorized. I neverAuthorized anything like that so I would appreciate it if my money was returned to my card ASAP. Thanks

I recall viewing websites offering "work at home" opportunities. Among the offers there was an offer for a catalog or book for $1.00 . I have just discovered charges for $11.95 = Google success kit. Next came charges for "Identity security ", then next came "Fraud protection" and then a charge which I have just seen on line but unable to ascertain vendor details as it lists as " TRF EXP".!
Total scam so far is under $50.00, probably keeping it under the radar of the authorities, but considering the volume of victims, BIG business.
I would appreciate help to block further abuse, short of canceling my card.
Recalling, I think it possible to have laughed off a $1.00 shipping charge, but know that I did not memorise making any allowance for $11.95 or the other charges . Having read other complaints, I did not pick up on the small print warnings!

i knew about the 11.95 charge that would be posted to my account because i read the fine print before signing up. what i didnt expect was the lack of product. i was linked to a website that was supposedly exclusive to members only. i found a list of "books" you could download and print, none of which made sense to me, and when i tried printing they came out garbled. i decided to wait for my "kit" to arrive but apparently that website of books was the kit and i have NEVER been able to find that site again. i found this site, called a number, reached "customer support" spoke to a very rude woman that was not informative at all. i would have continued my subscription had there been any information at all on how i could get started. SCAMMED!!! I gather that the way this works is that there arent any real services through this company, they used the name of another company. the google success kit does exist but it is a hard copy book you need to buy. this company charges your card until you realize what is happening then pretends to be sorry but not offer any help. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD!!!

Two charges appeared on my bank statement. $1.99 for shipping and handling for a kit I never received. And $11.95, for what? I don't know. I have been unsuccessful in locating the company online to ask for a refund. If anyone has information on the website please E-mail me at [email protected]
