In October 2009 I started inquiring about Rhinoplasty surgery to correct a sinus problem. After much research, I decided to go with GoSculptura.com which was supposed to be more affordable in the Dominican Republic than in the states. I was told by one of their reps that they had a special that would give me an additional $500 dollar discount but I had to make a $500 deposit within the next couple of days which I did. After I made the deposit, I was told the special had ended and that the discount wouldn't be applied to the quote which by the way added up to around $6, 000, plus the additional airfare and hotel stay. Right away, I decided not to have the surgery done in the Dominican Republic because I would have ended up paying the same or more as in the U.S. I emailed the rep for a refund but didn't receive any email or refund back. Now a year later (20 Oct 2010) and a dozen emails later, I still have not received a refund. However, I only received an email back after I threatened to take the matter to legal. Now they say that in order for them to refund me, I need to give them all my bank information to include my bank account and they will also charge me a "$199 administrative fee" for the wire transfer. It is ridiculous that they would try to charge me, $199 for a wire transfer. I never heard of a wire transfer of that amount for more than $25-$50. GoSculptura is a fraud and I hope nobody is scammed as I was.
