Unsafe certified VW
I bouught a pre owened VW EOS 2007 at Gossett in Feb 2009. The car had approx 19, 200 miles. One month later on Mar 11, 2009 I had to have the compressor replaced. This was under warrenty. At 20, 000 miles I took the car in for service, the usuall oil change and inspection @ 20, 000. the cost was apporx $280.00 a lot for that. Now here it is Oct. In late September I noticed how when changing gears the clutch pedal was loose. On Oct 13, 2009 I took the car into another VW dealer to have it looked at. Today is Nov 1, 2009 almost a month later! I just got the car back after having a brand NEW engine put into it. Of course VW paid for it. Again under warrenty. My question was why did'nt Gossett notice this before certifing the car? Because they already new the was UNSAFE and wanted to get it off their lot. The car was sitting on Gossetts lot since September 2008. I called Gossett and told them about it and the Service mgr said plain out "Your not getting your money back for the 20, 000 mile service. You would think that after spending $25, 000.00 for a car they could at least throw in the 20, 000 inspection. The sales manager was nasty and shady to me. The finance manager wanted me to finance thru VW for a higher amount so he can get his commission. I told him I have a becon score of over 8OO so I, should get a good rate. He did not want to hear it. I finally got the rate for 5% thru my credit union and gave them a check. The finance mgr also said 2 discriminating thing too me. I ended up calling Mr. Gossett and had a short chat but to no help. He just did not care. So I say do not buy from GOSSETT again.
