Paid $5595 for a membership in Grand Crown Travel Network in Branson Mo March 7, 2007. They promised discount travel many times up to 50 per cent for condos, hotels, cruises, airline tickets, and car rentals. They said they had access to many more condos than time-shares worldwide with no restrictions on number of weeks and locations. They also included up to 6 family members as part of the membership and $5000 for shopping for quality products and services on their website.
Basically, my complaints are the same as the many complaints I have read about this company. It took a long time before I could get on their web site as it would not accept my login. Your 3 days to cancel are over by the time you realize you've been taken.
When you make a requests their agents go online and find the same places we find on our own for the same price and many times we have found them for less. My request in Sept. for a condo in the Englewood are for March ended with the agent finding a 3 bedroom house and a duplex which were very expensive. I explained we wanted a condo on the beach as we wanted a pool, etc. He called back with the exact place we found for the same price. When we started questioning him, he became very curt and told us to call the place ourselves. We never heard from him again.
I sent a detailed email to their membership services late in Sept or early Oct. and never received a reply. My first response from this company came in Dec. after I filed a complaint with the BBB of Springfield.
Their response was filled with as many lies as their sales pitch stating that we refused to accept the wonderful places they found for us and failed to return calls. Their records showed that their travel agent never told us to call ourselves.
Our family members have never received cards inspite of many requests, we never received weekly emails for their great shopping discounts (which is a joke also) and we received their quarterly magazine once after joining.
We want our money back but they stand firm that they have abided by all the rules of the contract we signed.
