Avoid at all costs
Friday, August 4, 2006 car was overheating, never driven by owners into the red zone due to fans not working properly, per Chrylser Service Dept. No other problems at this time. Chrysler was authorized to do electrical work for fan repairs. Picked up car, fan sound not normal, but thought might be due to new repairs, drove less than 10 miles and car overheated. Returned car not working properly, ask what they had done with the car before returning to owners. Was told that they has done the repair for the fans (electronic) and had driven the car approximately 50 miles before calling for owners to pick up. Picked up vehicle, did not get home (less than 10 miles) car was overheating again. Took back to Chryler and was told that owner had problably driven car too far and overheated head. Explained that owner had been very careful not to overheat, pulling over and adding coolant to radiator. Also let Chrylser Manager know that they were the ones to drive the car at least on two occassions 50 miles or more, not owner. Chrysler Manager said they would have service check out a couple of other things. Friday August 11, 2006 no other obvious problems existed, Chrysler suggested that they run a few other test on car and would get back to owner. Late Friday, August 11, afternoon Chrysler called to say that they had flushed radiator to see if radiator need bled and that we now had a radiator leak. Owner expressed concern and was told the LHS was an old car and that owner should think of replacing it, not repairing it. Owner told Chrysler was not responsible for any damage done to the vehicle and that they were being held responsible.
