For the first time in our lives we could afford granite counter tops, Tops Solid Surface in Olympia Washington who works with Shelton Floor Coverings in Shelton, Washington let us pick out the granite and we were so excited. Apparently they must have machined the wrong end of the granite and now it does not match the piece it lays against. One side of the seam is so much lighter than the other side it looks terrible. What did Tops Solid Surface say---well all they would say that it doesn’t match but it is "within industry standards" What does Shelton Flooring say well whatever Tops Solid Surface says. This phrase translates into shoddy workmanship and a horrible attitude for a company who made a mistake but refuses to fix it. We are left to live with both their extreme unprofessionalism. If you want counter tops that are within industry standards but not even close to looking decent after spending thousands of dollars you could by from these companies. Otherwise go somewhere else where the company cares about you and their workmanship.
