PROVIDES WRONG INFORMATION and a THIEF
Grant Funding Search had a website that offered a college grant cd for free. You only needed to pay $1.98 for shipping. I am a college student and decided to do this. Today, 4/4/09 I checked my checking account and they removed $69.95. I called them and they stated that when I signed up for the cd I also signed up for them to withdraw $69.95 from my account MONTHLY. I did not read anything on the site that had stated this. I checked the entire cite. Terms and agreements everything. I am a low income family. Had I seen that they wanted to remove this much money from my account, I would not have signed up for the supposed 'FREE' cd. I contacted them and they stated it was plainly stated in the terms and agreements and are not willing to return my $69.95 but they can however cancel my membership. I thought this funny because I did not sign up for a membership to anything. After the supervisor finally contacting and I explained to her that I was going to the media about them and I had done some research on them online and found nothing but reports of scams, they decided they could refund my $69.95 in three to five business days.

Beware- SCAM!
I signed up for the Grant Funding Search free 14 day trial online about a year or so ago in response to an ad that said it would help find grants for single mothers who wanted to complete their education. I tried to cancel the next day, but was told that I could not cancel. I cancelled after 14 days. I don't know if I received a cancellation number, but I was told the account was cancelled. I didn't trust the company, so I discontinued my credit card and got a new number.
More than a year later, I am receiving a bill for a past due amount of $120 from a collections agency (Natural Wellness Resource) who cannot give me contact info to contact Grant Funding Search directly.
I let him know that his client is a scam artist, that I cancelled, I cannot find the cancellation number, I refuse to pay this bill and I will report this company to the Better Business Bureau.
There is nothing that lights my rage more than people taking advantage of people who are feeling desperate (like the A-hole creators of this company taking advantage of the desperation of single mothers)

Giving my personal information out
I purchased a $1.99 cd for grant funding search and these people turned my personal information over to another company who then tried to take $30.24 out of my bank account.. I was never informed of this or that they would give my information to anyone else... WHO does this.. This company should be stopped from doing this. They have done this to HUNDREDS of people.. This is a scam and fraud.. I have turn both the Grant Funing Search/Debt 2 wealth club into our Better Business Bureu.. I hope somebody stops them from doing this to anybody else... They had no right to give out my information to anybody without my permission... NO wonder there are so many scams in this world... These companies should be ashamed of themselves... So please be advise that I have turned these companies into the BBB and I hope they get shut down...Thank YOU CINDI STALLARD

advice
This is advice for all buying on the internet. I use an prepaid credit card that I purchased at a store. I only put on it no more than $20 to $40 at a time, that way these companies can not rip me off as easily. It works believe me.

Theft
8/8/09, I ordered from The Grant Express, their Grant Funding Search CD advertised for $1.98. I entered my debit card info to purchase the CD for $1.98. I received a pop-up confirming my purchase, however, the pop-up disappeared as I clicked on "print". The pop-up stated I would receive a call in two minutes. I never received a call. I received an e-mail asking to subscribe as a member charging me $30.00 per month. I replied to the e-mail demanding that they cancel my account and card info as I do not authorize future charges. On 8/17/09, The Grant Express, charged my debit card $69.95. 8:37 PM, 8/17/09, I called the company at 1-866-315-3967 demanding a refund. Cindy read me script and I demanded refund for $69.95. Cindy, placed me on hold to speak with a supervisor, and returned to the line informing me that my request for credit was approved. I was given the following refund confirmation no. 9B48C and told refund will be applied in 3-5 days. I have called this company every other day since and each day I am told the refund is being processed and allow 3 to 5 days. My bank advised credit has not been applied, nor is one in process for the $69.95. Today, I called again and was told to allow 10-15 days. Tony Miller, a supervisor, informed me that the refund was approved 8/17/09 and to allow 10-15 days.
This company has done nothing but lie, cheat and steal from me. This company committed fraud and I have incurred 2 non-sufficient funds (NSF) fees as a result. I am asking that this company reimburse me $72.00 for both NSF fees, the $69.95, and $1.98 the cost of the CD ($1.98) as it is useless without signing up for member services, which was not advertised. I ask for total refund of $143.93.
