They lure you in by offering a free information CD for a shipping charge of $1.98. Several pages further on, in the small print under Terms, they say this enrolls you in a program with a 10-day free trial, after which they charge your credit card $69.95.

Shame on me for not reading the fine print. But when I call the number to unsubscribe, I always get a recording which is set on elevator music...no humans, ever! When I contact their complaint panel at [email protected] to try and unsubscribe, their site keeps flashing "error" when I try to send in my email complaint.

This is bad; very bad. My credit card company says they are "pre-authorized" to charge that amount, even if I cancel my credit card!! I need a fist-to-face meeting with these con artists.

I was looking on-line for a company to assist with Grant searches for a new business start-up. I too, gave them my credit card for the 1.99 shipping and handling and 8 days later, my account was charged 74.85 by DRI REGNOW.com. When I called them to inquire with the toll free number on my bank transaction, I was told that if I did not cancel it within the 7 day trial period that I authorize the charge. The kit I paid the shipping and handling for, arrived AFTER they deducted the 74.85. How would one know whether they wanted to cancel or not prior to receiving the kit. What a SCAM!! I am typically very suspecious of ANY on-line company, this one must have looked different to me. I'm unemployed at the present time so being less $75.00 really hurt! Thank heaven I had $75.00 in my account, or I would have had a bank overdraft charge. I feel violated! I thought I'd call the BBB, but maybe the FBI isn't a bad idea either. I'm really nervous about this scandalis company having my cc #s.

I replied to an online ad to receive a cd for 1.98 for shipping. Now they are charging my credit card for 69.95. I did not see anywhere in the ad where they were any other charges. These people need to be stopped

I purchased a cd for $1.98 They then without my authorization turned around and charged me $69.95. When I called them on 3/1/2009 they said they would refund my money and gave me a confirmation # of 95719. I went to check my credit card on 3/2/2009 to see if they had reimbursed me. They had not, but what they did do and this is after I had cancelled membership and got my confirmation # saying they would refund my money (69.95) They did not and charged me another $74.32. I cancelled the membership that I knew nothing about and then they charged me more. When I called them they said they were refusing to reimburse me anything. Can you please help.

Ordered a $1.98 CD online. 8 days later was charged $69.95 for some type of website membership. Never received any email or instructions on how to cancel account. If you call the company at 888-210-2544 you get a call center in India. They finally cancelled the account but did not refund my $69.95. I am filing a dispute with the credit card company and have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Support forms on their website do not work and the website they try to send you too to cancel your account does not exist. Stay far away from http://www.grantfundingsearch.com or http://www.thegrantfundingsearch.com. They give online business a very bad name.
