Unfortunately, the pop-up for Grant One Day popped up and caught my eye. Great deal, they proclaimed, find out about available grants for purchasing a DVD for $ 3.88. Not expensive, why not? I found out why not. After charging my card for $ 3.88, six days later they charged my card an additional $ 94.89 for some membership that I supposedly agreed to, which I had not done.

I called and oddly enough, the first person I spoke to was courteous and professional. I recorded the conversation, unbeknownst to them. He apologized for the charge and stated they would give me a full refund. I waited almost 3 weeks (another mistake on my part) before calling. Well, the true nature of their company was revealed. The person I spoke to was condescending, and told me she didn't care what actions I took. She also stated you could NOT call the company, you could only email. There's a big sign of what was to unfold.

After numerous attempts to have my card credited and you'll notice I'm not using the word refunded. Refunded would imply that a charge was authorized at some time, which this was not. At any rate, I wrote to the Better Business Bureau, the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI, the Attorney Generals of California and Texas. Lo and behold, about 6 days later, they finally credited my card for the fraudulent charge.

I recommend that everyone that has a complaint to write to the aforementioned agencies and state your complaint. Get these terrorists, masquerading as a business, ripping off Americans of their hard earned money, closed down once and for all.

beware of this scam it lures you in telling you that you will only be charged 1.99 for a product a c.d. or something . then when i received my credit card statement and they had charged me an additional 94.89 the next day.

The company called to confirm the subscription and I cancelled based upon charges not disclosed until after enterning my credit card authorizing a charge of $1.99. I have been charges 19.12 and 94.89 after cancelling the subscription with their representative. After three conversations today, I was finally provided with a confirmation number cancelling the membership.

I wish to get a refund for 94.89 for services I did not want and did not use that where drafted from my account I was told by a costomer services rep. that I need to file here and they would credit my account
