Thank you all for advise. I was contacted by this company and the whole convesation was shady. I looked them up online and found this forum warning about the degeptive practices of it. I humored them with the conversation and turned them down cold.

Unauthorized charges
I went on line for gov.funding for a grant..They said I ordered a CD for this, I did not..CD was for $1.99 so they said when I called them. I did not order this..They debited my account for $69.99 and refuse to reinburse me...

scam
I ordered a CD from grantfundingsearch.com and was told to call after 15 days to cancel if I chose or there would be $60 deducted from my debit card each month there after. When I attempted to call there is always a messege saying all circuits are busy or I get a busy dial tone. I have not been able to reach them and now have to cancel my card in order to avoid more charges. I also never recieved any CD.

unauthorized taking of money from my account
After filling out the application and charging one dollar and ninety eight cents, they charged my account in the amount of seventy one dollars, there was no post on their application to take out any money except the initial one dollar and ninety eight cents, yet they deducted more money from my account unknown to me, I have since cancelled my bank card, and called the company notifying them that my bank would be in touch with them, and if be, I am willing to go to court, this company is nothing but fraud, and should be punished by the federal government.If any one else has fallen to this scam, here is the numbers to talk to them, you must be firm, because they know they have commited a crime and it's a federal crime, to use the government as a scape-goat, there are two numbers, 1-888-210-2544 and 1-888-238-0869.Also you need to get your bank involved and cancel your card, new ones will be issued to you.

Took money without asking
What ever you do please don't get fool by this company. they put charges on your creadit card with out your knowledge. they put 69.95 on your creadit card and continue to charge your card and wont replace the money even though you never receive the things that you were promise. like CDs for 1.98 but charge you 69.95 and continue to do this every month even if you say no.so if you dont wont to cancel your credit card like we did .and send a complaint like this .then I beg you don' t get with company because they are crooks. and will take advantage of you.

unauthorized removal of funds for CD
I too, have obviously been taken by the Grantfundingsearch.com scam. I called my bank only yesterday (04--6-09) to see if my money was returned, no such luck. Decided to come back online to verify address, website and phone number, and I got this site with everyone's complaints.
Please, someone email me and tell me who to contact first!
What about a class action suit??

Fraud
I have contacted the Internet Crime Complaint Center IC3.gov about this company. I encourage all to do the same if you have been scammed by Grantfundingsearch.com. They advertise on Myspace or Facebook that they will give you a CD and access to their web site to research grant money for $1.98. Then they will take your bank info. when you pay the $1.98 and later charge $69.95. When I called to dispute this with the company they just had their routine locked down and kept speaking over me telling me they would cancel the membership, but the $69.95 charge would stay, and that I "must have missed the fine print". I did not miss any fine print and printed out the confirmation from them that says NOTHING about ANY further charges. I contacted my bank and filed fraud charges since my credit card was used fraudulently.

cancelling account
I thought it I was receiving a CD for 1.98 giving sites to go to for grant funding, I saw no phon enumber to contact anyone and the CD arrived way after the 7 days. They aslo called constantly 9 to 10 days after even when they were told I was not interested. They are a rip off and I am going to file a chargeback as should anyone else who was ripped off.

Scam
Same story, agreed to $1.98 shipping and was charged $69.95 a week later. I called the company and was told I agreed to this charge by not canceling my account with them after the 7 day free trial period. Such a scam! I had to change my card # and do not think at this point I am getting my money back. I will try to dispute it but...

unauthorized debit on banking acct.
I have recently opened my own business, things are slow, and I need additional equipment in order to make this work and reach other business opportunities.
I ordered the Grant Funding Search, knowing that there were grants available for start up businesses.
I paid $1.98 for my CD, and noticed a debit from my acct. for $69++. I emailed them to ask about this and informed them that if the money wasn't replaced I would be forced to take action.
I haven't heard a word from them, I have no idea what type of action to take, but I sure do need that money back in my account.
Is there anything I can do?
