fraud
I had several missed calls from an out of state area code for a number of days. I then decided to answer b/c I had been missing the call 3 and 4 times a day out of curiosity. It turned out to be grantresearchguide.com. I was skeptical @ 1st but like I read on one of a number of complaints it was very proffessional so I decided to give out the information so that I could gain access to the website. I was just looking up the website to try and get some info b4 I found this website and I'm almost in tears I'm unemployed and I can't afford for any overdraft fees or holds on my account. I advise everyone DO NOT give your info away to a company you have never seen or website you have never visited they haven't taken anything from me but the 2.95 yet I'm on the phonewith the bank while I'm typing 2 c if there's anything I can do 2 stop them from taking any additional money.

hidden charges
I went to the website and abandoned ship when it started asking for specific estimates. Someone from Grant Research Guide called and was so pushy that I hung up on them. A second caller phoned the next day and complimented my baby, etc. - used a softer touch and got my credit card number for shipping and handling for the free CD. Then told my about the subscription fee. I was very adamant about cancelling at that point on the phone, but the person taking my info told me that it was impossible and I should cancel via the 1 888 customer service number. Well, I decided to wait to see the CD, but it never came - then I was too late to cancel the internet by the deadline. When I called to ask to speak to someone with authority to credit the fee, I was told the only way to do this was to submit my name, email and zip via email with subject line, "attention Jarvis" . This individual is supposed to review a tape of my call and decide whether I will receive my money back. Pretty likely, huh?

scam
I got ripped off, too. What an idiot I was. I thought I was buying a one-time use only to be billed for a $68.95 subscription that I had told their telemarketers twice that I did not want. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company. The Attorney General's office is next.

scam
I was charged $59.95 in addition to the $2.95 which I was made to believe was all I have to pay for, for the postage of an instructional kit. Same as the other victims, when I called a reprentative, a certain Regina Silvers, I was told I couldn't possibly get a refund for the charge which I wasn' t able to benefit from.

Monthly fee $49.50
Jarvis, I am still waiting for my refund of $49.50 for a cd I never received nor authorized this fee from my bank account. The sales people are very slick and do disclose this information clearly so you have a chance to hang up on them beforehand. I wish I had known about this before I answered the phone. This company needs to be turned over to the Better Business Bureau and prosecuted for the numbers of people that have been scammed out of hundreds of dollars. I will be glad to do so!!! If I do not get my money back by this week, 1/12/09-1/16/09, that is exactly what will happen!

monthly fee
I do not want to pay $58/month for anything. I did agree to pay $2.95 for postage to get an information kit. If I am charged more than this, you will be hearing from my attorney.
