Fraud
Grants for citizens acccessed one of my checking accounts through their billing contractor Billingweb and deducted four charges of 12.95 four times in one day also 39.95 twice and 9.95 twice on the same day... The previous day these charges appeared twice each. I did not subcribe this product nor would I. This company accessed my information from a company that I unsubscribed to two years before this time. WARNING You do not have to pay for Grant information... The U.S. Government provides this info free of charge to anyone. Private Grants information can be accessed from the individual boards of directors. Grants for citizens is a fraud...

Phone calls at all hours
They got me with the $1.95 and the about 15 days later with the $39.95. I did call the number on my card statement and got them to cancel. They were really rude - told me I had better read the fine print better before signing up for things online. I never did receive any printed materials from them. Now there is another problem...they call me at all hours (from 8am to 10pm 7 days a week) and hang up as soon as I answer and when I call the number back they answer the phone and then hang up immediately. I traced the number that shows up on my caller ID and the number is based in Los Angeles, CA but is registered to Grants for Citizens

Pay for free information
They promise to help you apply for grants and tell you that you will be able to get Grant money from the government. When you click on a grant that you are interested in--they take you to the website of the instiution, (government site) that is free anyway. You are paying for information that is free anyway. This is a rip off and they should be banned from the internet.

Not following through on promise
I'm still waiting on the email from this company so that I know which companies may be billing me in the future if I don't cancel. I've tried their website and their "on-line agent" did nothing. And when I dial the phone # on the charge in my bank account, it's busy. I understand I accepted the charge, I don't want to be charged for something I have no idea about and no idea how to cancel...Broken promises. And Americans wonder why we have no faith in businesses. If they don't deliver what they promise, why should we expect them to be anything but greedy.
