grants for citizens refuse to close my account after I call and told them I didn't want it because they didn't follow their own promise, and I couldn't even log on their website.Then they charged me for a second month and told me there was nothing They could do about it and I was not getting my money they took back.I finally got a conformation number that they closed the account after they got 81.00dollars for my trouble.They are one of the biggest frauds going on taking peoples money who are trying to get help in this troubled times.They are no better than the big corps. that are spending our tax dollars to have a good time.

Took 39.95 out of my checking account without permisson

I went to the web site and I started to fill out the information but then I went to the bottom of all web site on the first page, and it has the little things the bottom like this one does Privacy Policy and other different items; it gives the fine detail about reacurring billing and the amount and I was thinking about how many people don't read the fine print and because I was have learn to do this cause of a Criminal Justice Degree PLEASE EVERYONE START AWAYS CHECK those little boxes and read the fine print if not just open it up and scan down and start looking for a money amount so we can put a stop to there scrams; and also call each credit card company and see if you can make it that no reacurring charge can be put on your card without your approvement and a password you set up. Just today Michelle Miller from Grants for Citizens called and wanted to know if I had gone to the site several weeks ago and I said yes but when I open the bottom link I saw there would be a reacurring fee on a credit card; If I would I had given it I wouldn't and she said it is only a couple of dollers I said I know but I don't want you all to have my credit card number, I am on social sercuity diability and I do not need no more expenses. If I want to get information on grants I will www.cfda.gov/index (then go to home) cause I have this marked in favorites menu

This is the email that I sent the company after speaking with a rude customer service agent:

Dear Sir or Madam:
I am writing you this email due to the unethical business practices that your company engages. When I went on to your website to order the grants CD, I was under the impression that I was ONLY ordering the CD for the cost of shipping ($1.95). I was unaware that I would be enrolled and charged for services that I did not wish to have. I have been charged $39.95 from your company. When I called to get the money refunded and whatever it was that enrolled me canceled, I encountered a most unhelpful customer service representative. After repeatedly asking to speak to a supervisor, she continued to argue with me. I remained as calm as I could until she started to blame me for the problem and become rude. I wanted the monies refunded to me. She kept telling me that she couldn't do that. After sometime of discussing back and forth, she said that she could only give me back $25. I told her that I still wasn't happy with that, but if that was all that she could authorize to give me back the $25 and I would deal with the other $14.95.

Not only has your company been deceptive in it's advertisement of a $1.95 grant program, which was all I had intentionally signed up for, but has enrolled me into other programs that I didn't wish to have a membership. Also my bank has charged me a $0.80 international transaction fee. What is this? I ordered this from a company that represents itself to be an American company.

I am completely appalled at the business practices of your company and the interactions I have had with your employees. I am respectfully asking for my account to be refunded the remaining $14.95 + $0.80 = $15.75. I am confident that your company can and will refund this amount, as to it would be in everyone's best interest to do so. Thank you in advance for your expedited response to this request.

The company called and it was a foreign voice and hardly understandable. Government grant theis and government grant that and all for a small fee of shipping and handling. I'm sorry but my thinking is this if this is a free government grant for citizens why am I having to pay for something? Why would they not except a cash option for delivery and only credit cards? The person talked so fast and with such a thick accent and seemed to get upset when I asked for them to repeat all they had said..This screamed SCAM...A government grant for citizens because we are citizens of this country should have been a call to inform that it was or was not approved ... PERIOD! not ask for a credit card number...Unfortunetly for the majority of citizens they will go along with this and be so disappointed in them selves for being so gullible. Watch yourself and protect you finances..
