Holding my money hostage
I have had issues with your card since day 1, as now as I browse the internet, I see that others have also had the same issues with. Therefore, as soon as I am able, I will be cancelling my account and finding a more reputable establishment. I requested a replacement card on 11/26/08 and have still not received it. When I called today to say I wanted another card reissued without changing my account number, I was told that I would have to pay a fee to receive my card express. I refused to pay for the companies’ inadequacies and when the girl came back to the phone she told me that once the card was issued, my monies would be available. I told her NOT to change my number because it was a must that I would have access to my monies tomorrow. She changed it anyway. When I called again, I asked for a supervisor. I became irate because the girl, which I know is trained to do, try to fix something that she couldn’t. When the “supervisor” got on the phone, she said there was nothing that could be done. I told her that I had a disable child that I needed groceries for and layaways that I had to get out or lose my money and she still did not try to get anyone over her that could assist. Once again, I became irate and she hung up on me. I will be putting a petition on the internet for a class action suit against green dot because this is unacceptable, your organization is holding my money hostage. When I first asked for a replacement, I was on my way out of town and I still don’t have this card. So imagine if I was on a cruise or something of that nature with no family or friends and lost my card, I would just be out of luck in some foreign country! I will also being sending this to my congressman, my senator, the Honorable Mark Warner, the Social Security Administration, who deposits my nieces disability to the account and anyone else that I feel can assist in ceasing the fiasco.
