Since 2005 when our office was down the street we have been loyal customers of Champion Cleaners. Even after our office relocated outside of Naples in 2007 we continued driving the extra miles to stay loyal.
Submitted bed comforter for its first drycleaning in July 2009. Comforter was returned damaged. Cording was cracked and stuffing was flattened. Returned comforter to Champion to resolve. Nothing was done for several months and messages unreturned. We made several in-store visits to get updates. The staff provided no information and the manager was never available.
In December 2009 we reached Peter Atwood, Manager via phone. At first he claimed that he knew nothing about the comforter sitting there for almost 4 months. Then he belligerently declined any responsibility. After apologizing for their anger and thanking us for our calm and patience all these months, Mr. Atwood agreed to both 1) attempt to locate identical replacement and 2) obtain repair estimate from seamstress.
Commitments by Mr. Atwood to provide us updates via telephone have never been fulfilled. Continued efforts on our part to reach Mr. Atwood via phone throughout the elapsing months have resulted mostly in unreturned messages.
To the best of our knowledge Champion has been unsuccessful at contacting the manufacturer to find a replacement. Also, we have never received factual information about the cost to repair. Mr. Atwood has offered to get permission from his boss to pay for the repair.
