I am Bank of America customer since 1992. I have checking and saving A/C. I am not reluctant to use ATM card except for grocery. In my understanding overdraft is when I could use check and fail to see my balance and keep on writing checks for different usage, but in my case whenever I used ATM card for grocery purpose on debt there is no way of knowing my balance. I taught I have some more money and used my ATM card on 12-30-08 and purchased worth $5.00 item; to my greatest disappointment and shock I am penalized $35.00. Well, I am speechless, I only earn very little; I live hand to mouth. The amount mentioned to me is a lot and I could use it to pay my telephone bill or use it for grocery. I greatly respect and admire Bank of America; how could this be happen to me? My assumption was, even if I overspent my checking account, since I have some amount in my saving it could be deductable from my savings. Otherwise, I never taught I will be penalized $35.00.
For a great Bank like yours to punish me especially at this season will be unfair, and I ask you for reimbursement.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
