nonfillment

We purchased funiture in monroe Wi. and were given a certificate for $600 rebate for groceries. We sent in $5.00 that we were told would be returned with the first rebate. We need not hear from the company so I called and was told that they were running behind and it may take 9 to 12 months to catch up. The second rebate form we sent in came back returned that the company has moved with no forwarding address, phone disconnected.

BUYER BEWARE!!
I purchased a sectional sofa with the promise of a 600$ grocery rebate. I had to register with the groceryrebate.net site, a special registration # given to me by Ashley furniture after my purchase was made. Then send paper work ID and 9.95 refundable with my first month rebate of 25.oo after sending over 100 dollars worth of reciepts from my grocery store for that month. I did this for 2 months and never recieved anything!
I just went to the site to check on my status, since I have seen nothing.
this is a copy of the message I found there:

Please be advised that My Free Travel will be unable to honor any rebates redeemed on or after December 1, 2009. This is due to an extremely high response rate to the program. The responses received have far exceeded numbers anticipated by our projections and this has resulted in a shortage of funds to meet required payments. We will continue to attempt payment for any qualified rebates that have been submitted prior to December 1, 2009.

One of our customers has been circulating a "proposed" insurance policy as being in effect to cover payment of rebates. Please be advised that no such policy is in place from My Free Travel.
