Kitchen cabinets
I ordered a kitchen & bathroom furniture from Grupo Kaizensa in San Jose, Costa Rica December 07. When I placed my order, everybody in the showroom spoke English, what made the choice for using them easier, there my Spanish is basic at best. The kitchen comes from Argentina, but they gave me a shipping date of 900/100 days. After 100 days I called to check up with the status of the cabinets, and was informed that there was a strike at the factory, so the cabinets were not ready. But I shouldn't worry, the strike was over and we should receive the cabinets in about 60 days. Again, after 60 days I check in, there nobody ever gets back to me, to find out that the cabinets are on a boat, but the boat is stuck in Chile, and we are not sure when it will leave port, so they can not give me a real date. Check back in with us in about 2 weeks, they say. By now, my sales person quit, the manager quit, and I'm dealing with a very young unexperienced salesperson whom is new in the business. After 2 weeks I check in again, to hear that the cabinets are now stuck in Columbia. By now, this kitchen is better traveled then me! So finally, after 7 months I get a call, the kitchen is in Costa Rica, Can I pay the balance (- installation what is 5%) and I can receive my kitchen at the end of the week). Great, we pay, and hear, the day of delivery, after waiting for 2 hours for the delivery people to call me with time line, that the kitchen is really still in customs, but they paid the taxes and we should receive them within 3 days, maximum. That is now 3 weeks ago, and when I ask for any documents that proves that they were shipped in the first place, I'm left empty handed. When I asked to speak to the manager or the owner, I was told that they wouldn't come on the phone with me, because they didn't speak english and it is not their fault that I don't speak enough Spanish!
I have been in this business for 15 years in the US, and worked with every Italian cabinet supplier, so I knew what to expect, but there lack of customer service and rudeness I have never experienced in my life!
Please, do yourself a favor and avoid this company by all means! Hire somebody local to build your kitchen, even if you live in the jungle, they are more reliable and you can check the quality control.
