I made a service request and was told I needed my service agreemant number, which I never received;
guardsman mailed me the request forms; In the mean time I called Haverty's where I purchased the furniture and she gave me a number and put the warranty in the mail. Guardsman denied my claim, because I have 5 days to make the claim; which I did not know because I didn't have the actual warranty, nor was I told that when I purchased the warranty. If the warranty is only good for 5 days after problems arise, why would I purchase a 5 year gold in home warranty that covers everything? just to be denied; I have the evelope and it shows the date stamp of June 03 as the mail date; I received the form June 5, 2010;
If this expensive warranty is no good, then I would like my money back; I had no problem purchasing the warranty because I want my furniture ($30, 000.00) protected; but as it stands now, I really have no coverage; It takes more than 5 days to make a claim, because you can't fax it, it must be mailed; What a great scam! I think the attorney general in Grand Rapids, MI, should get involved in this since it is designed to deny customers. Just wondering how many customers do they service compared to how many they deny; I am going to contact Haverty's and request they get another warranty company since these people in my opinion are selling a misleading warranty agreements; People should be told up front they are only covered with in a 5day time frame, now how many, logic thinking people would purchase that for 5 years? exactly. I would like my money back, please.
