For the Wen Haircare system they stated that you would get more product every 60 days so I assumed I had 60 days to cancel. When I was billed after 30 days I called to see what was going on and they clarified that the first order arrives after 30 days and then every 60 after that. I have had problems in the past with Guthy Renker and automatic billing- I have cancelled and they have continued to bill and send. You have to wait weeks for a refund because they charge you when they mail the product so they can't refund since "they've already sent the product" I find their consumer practices completely faulty and personally, I think they are Sharks. Any product that interests me I now order through a different retailer so I can avoid the SHARKS at Guthy Renker.

Charged but not delivered
I called Guthy Renker last fall about a beauty product from Cindy Crawford that they had on an infomercial. I ordered it and of course gave my credit card information. After 3 or 4 weeks I called back because I had not received my products. The customer service informed me that the order had not been processed because the credit card information had been wrong. I decided that I would not reorder and just let it go. A month later I saw a charge from Guthy REnker and then a credit from Guthy Renker. However, the amounts were not the same. Guess which one was higher! I have since been in contact with them several times by phone and email insisting that they reimburse me the difference. They answered that they couldn't find my file or information. How is this possible? They don't reply to my emails anymore. It is not alot of money .. from what I can recall, about 10$. It is the principal of the matter. I just want people to be aware that this is not a company that you want to do business with.

Disgusting Service
I am so disgusted with this service, I have been charged for my prodcut on the 24th of Sept and am still waiting for it to arrive. Everytime I called the UK office I got some or the other story from them, and even after waitng for 28 days as per their policy I have still not received my order. I will never recommend it to anyone and now after calling today I was told that I need to send them proof of my bank statement for them to see that payment has gone out from my bank and I am not telling them lies. This is disgusting, really pathetic. Dont they have financial records which will surely sure them that I have paid and the payment has gone from my credit card. They advertise big things on TV for people to get fooled and buy their products but when actual serivce has to be given to customers, they dont really do anything. It is nearly 35 days and I have been charged and not got my order. I should get a refund and compensation from Guthy Renker for this disgusting service.

Unauthorized charges
We ordered Wen online after we saw their infomercial on TV, and **specifically declined the auto-ordering program** Got the product, and didn't care for it. We were shocked to see a second charge for this stuff on our credit card the following month. Then a third - we figured that would be it and we'd chalk it up to a bad decision to buy this lousy product. BUT then after the 3rd month - it started all over again with another 1 of 3 charge.(where they charge you payment #1, payment #2, etc each month) We immediately called and said STOP - and told them we had originally told you we did not want the auto-ordering program.

They are doing whatever they want - not sure if 'even legal. They refuse to cancel anything until we return the product - so far they have got $140 out of us for an original $29.95 one time, one product, order (we thought we were making)

BEWARE, don't order ANYTHING from Guthy-Renker, we had the SAME exact problem with them regarding another product ordered from another infomercial - re a rip-off - apparently this is how they do business - YOU'VE been warned.

Ripped off for $300
I purchased an exercise chair from Guthy Renker for 6 monthly payments of $50. They charged me the first month and then I started receiving notices saying I owed the full $300. I called over and over to resolve this and was told it was a glitch and to disregard it.

Then they sent it to a collection agency, even though I was paying for it and was never even remotely delinquent. They said this was also a glitch but that they couldn't do anything about it. The only way to have them fix this issue and get my account out of collections is to return the chair.

Will they pay for shipping? No. Will they even send me a box? No. The chair is big, heavy, and doesn't fit in any standard box. The only place that has one that fits it is UPS, and they have one that is too big and would need to be modified. The box costs $44. When you add modifications and packaging, that brings it to approximately $100. Then about $200 to ship such a heavy item.

So what Guthy Renker told me was my only option is to pay $300 to send back a $300 chair so that my name might be removed from collections where they accidentally sent me in the first place because they refuse to do anything else to fix this. The last supervisor I spoke to actually had the nerve to tell me that I purchased the chair in good faith and they fulfilled that. So to Guthy Renker, it is apparently good faith to mess up your customers' accounts, repeatedly ingnore requests to fix the issue, send the account to collections when it isn't delinquent and then make the customer return a giant piece of exercise equipment at their own expense...then, and only then, will they try to fix my account and call off the collection agency.

Gouging charges every month
Why there is any TV media address the Guthy-REnker's product gouging and scamming customer? Do not buy anything when it says Guthy-Renker. They will scam you with a low introductory and high shipping and handling, you become a privileged club member, then your credit card is charged monthly, outrageous amount of payment to Guthy-Renker automatically. AND it is impossible to cancel your membership by 800 numbers they provide you. They are scam artist.

Reps are brain washed to avoid your cancelling, you hang-up the phone, don't know what hit you. You will see are paying continuously through your credit card.

Cannot get in contact with the company to cancel!
I was told when I ordered Leeza Gibbons product, sheer products that I could cancel at anytime the endless youth vitamins if I was not satisfied. I tried several times and could not get through to a customer rep. the recording said to e-mail [email protected] that email address did not exist. I just received the second shipment on Feb. 1st. I called the 1.888.848.2797 and the message was they were going through changes and to send an email to [email protected] and include your name, address, and telephone number. The website does not exist. I called the number for Sheer Cover and they said that they have received numerous complaints and to contact my credit card company to let them know that I dispute the charges. I cannot believe that I was part of a scam and I will be reporting it to the BBB and Leeza Gibbons. I will be part of a class action suit against such a deceitful company that is fraudulent and uses Leeza Gibbons name to rip off the public and make on line shopping not such a place to order from.
