On November 6, 2009, I went to H&S Automotive at 5 12th street in Marysville, CA, to get a Smog Check, for my 1984 Chevy S10 pickup truck

I arrived at about 9:00 or 10:00am, I was sitting in the office giving the receptionist the information on the truck, when I was about finished, another car pulled up outside, and the receptionist gave me the work order,

and told me to hurry, and get in my truck and pull into the first stall, and someone would help me, I said okay, and got up and did just that, as I was passing one of the mechanics, I told him that I need a smog, an proceeded to get in my truck, after I pulled my truck into the stall, one of the mechanics came to my truck and said in a very nasty tone I don't work on the type of trucks it's old, and has a carburetor, they a lot of work and they stink, my cell phone rang, and I told the mechanic to excuse me, and I said hello to the person on the phone, and the mechanic, started saying, hello, hello, hello, looking up in the air, trying to be smart or funny, so I said my truck runs good, and started it up, he put some type of hose in the tail pipe of the truck, and told me if the first number on the machine has to be under 150, my truck registered 133, then he said that number the other side has to be low, the truck was doing great, then he jumps into my truck and holds the gas pedal to the floor, and says its knocking, I said my truck doesn't knock, so he said I am just not going to smog this old truck, I was really outdone by this mechanics behavior, so I got in my truck, and as I was leaving, I noticed that the car behind me needing a smog was an elderly white lady, so when I got home, I called back to H&S Automotive, and I asked the receptionist, why she didn't tell me that they didn't smog 1984 trucks, her response was, she didn't know that either, I told her then, I thought that was one of those raciest moves, and that the mechanics were raciest, because they had worked on them before, I felt like the mechanics didn't want to help me because I am black, but he did want to smog the white Lady's car that came after me because it was a Cadillac. Two days later I took my truck to another smog station and it passed with flying results, and that mechanic took my truck on a drive to warm it up, for the test, and he said to me when I went to pick it up, that my truck ran really good, for an 1984, I received my certificate and got my truck tagged and now it's back on the road, and I enjoy driving it daily.
