This place has cheaper haircuts and coloring, but I couldn't figure out why it was almost always dead. When I went to make an appointment the receptionist up front, I asked if I could schedule an appointment for that Saturday. She asked what I wanted and I said just a trim and for them to fix my bangs, nothing major. She then looked at me and said "Do you need a root touch up too? It looks like it hasn't been done in a while." Thanks.
I politely responded no, just a haircut will do. It took her a while to finally figure out how to schedule me in and said "Sorry I started working here like a week ago, I'm just a temp." Alright, I can forgive her not knowing how to book an appointment, but common courtesy don't point out roots.
And I wish I could say that that was the worst of it, because I understand it is really not that bad.
But, no. My appointment lasted maybe about 7 minutes while she gossiped about her boyfriend and how she thinks he likes someone else or something. She didn't offer to blow it dry or anything, just let me leave the salon with a mop head. Before I left I asked what type of shampoo she used, she showed me and said she would look for it in their store section. As we walked down one small isle I saw her glance at it next to "Curly Sexy Hair" (which was $9 more expensive) only to pick up Curly Sexy Hair and tell me that they didn't have it. I called her out and she said oh my mistake, but this stuff is actually much better, you will need the conditioner too.
I spent $20 on the shampoo, but chose not to pay an additional $20 for the conditioner. She seemed angry that I didn't buy both and as I checked out the receptionist asked how much I should tip. I gave her $3.00 and the receptionist counted it, looked at me then at the stylist and said "You're free to go."
I will never ever ever go back here again, I would try Salon Bogar or the Paul Edward Salon(my personal favorite), a little more pricey, but the service is PHENOMENAL!!!
