they ripped off me and insurance company
June 8, 2011
poor workmanship, damaged vehicle, charged Insurance company for items not on claim
Vehicle with less than 5, 000 miles, less than a year old to be repaired. Was quoted it would take 17 days to fix it (2.5 weeks or so) but it took 8 weeks!! AND IT"S still not fixed! I took the vehicle back after 8 weeks b/c they obviously couldn't fix it and in the process of them "fixing" it- they damaged the moon roof, several sills plates inside, interior door pieces and they ruined the car battery as after the car came back it would not longer hold a full charge! To top it off, they threatened to arrest me if I didn't pay for the entire repair bill (including the items they never fixed)!! After dealing with Mr. Dan Trapp, manager and Mr. Czapla, a manager from the Miles One corporate office there was an agreement made to refund the parts price for the items not installed, refund the price of the damaged items, and they were going to refund the $500 insurance deductible for the excessive delay and inconvenience -what we didn't agree on was the paint. Mr. Czapla told me to take it to another body shop and get a quote to fix the bubbles in the paint. However, the only way to get rid of the Blue and black specs inthe newly silver painted car- the scratches where they scratched through the color and clear coated over, divots in the paint and scratches on the surface is to repaint the entire car. The corporate manager will not willing to do that. Thus, they have money of ours for parts that were not installed, parts that were damaged by the body shop, the deductible and a car that is less than year old that needs to be completely painted over. To top it off- THEY CHARGED MY INSURANCE COMPANY FOR THE PARTS THEY DAMAGED!!
