scam
My husband received the same scam as hundreds of others, and like some of these said people I will be returning the gumf back to them without a stamp and a few choice words on a letter to them

Unclaimed investment
My 15 year daughter received notification from this "company" that a cheque for £550, 000 for an unclaimed investment, was just waiting to be dispatched to her, and all she had to do was send £14.95 and her credit card details.
Why is it always after Christmas?
Sorry I had to dash her plans on what to to spend her new found wealth on.Im sure I would have been in there somewhere.
But seriously there are sadly those who are falling for this scam.
This is not a new scam so why are these people not being tracked down and prosecuted? Is it beyond the resources of what ever agencies have reponsibility for policing these matters?
Time someone got their act together and put an end to this.

Unfortunately only just logged on to this website from UK to see what I could find out about these thieves from Hamilton Moore Associates.<br />
I am a 73 year old pensioner from UK. and as I had paid to be in a lottery some time ago, but forgot the name of the firm, I thought my letter congratulating me on winning might be genuine. No such luck!! I sent my cheque off under recorded delivery next day as they stipulated my claim would be void if they didnt receive my cheque within 7 days. I attached a letter saying that if this was a scam I was going to a solicitor or write to the newspaper, hoping it might deter them. But as I have not heard anything from them after 4 weeks I now know my cheque has been banked in their bank like all the other poor "suckers" whose stories I have read on this site. SOMETHING SHOULD BE DONE ABOUT THESE THIEVES. All these cheques mount up into hundreds in their bank. The police in CANADA should definitely look into this scam, as it does not show CANADA in a good light. They will be tarnished like the people who run similar scams from NIGERIA.

Money Scam - Beware!
Received a letter in the post saying they have been desperate to get hold of me and that this is a final letter to inform me tht I have won £550, 000 and must sent a cheque for admin fees for £14.95 or I will "regretfully be released from the award and it will be passed on to someone else".

Good luck I say as soon as they have your cheque and bank account details that would be the last you would see of your money.

This company is now operating out of 4-5694 Highway 7 East, Suite 412 Markham ON L3P 1B4, Canada and this is the second time they have changed address as I eceived a previous letter from them in my maiden name!

I advise everyone who receives this letter to burn it on the fire for sure.

You've won £ 550 000.00
I recieved a letter from Hamilton Moore & Associates saying I was the sole receipient of a Bank Gaurenteed Cheque to the value of £ 550 000.00, They only needed me to send them £14.95, they must think that I would not check this on the internet, It is just another scam, How can they get away with this type of rubbish.

500,000.00GBP Scam
Wow, I didnt realise that this letter had gone out to so many!!! When you first read it, you think, "Fantastic, I have won all this money and i didnt even have to do anything". Apparantely the money will be paid out on 11th October which is exactly one month to the date of the letter). How can this company get away with telling people "YOU ARE THE SOLE RECIPIENT AND ARE NOW ELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE A CHEQUE IN THE AMOUNT OF 550, 000.00" ????? When you then read the letter a second time and turn it over, you see that it has obviously got to be a scam as it states "No purchase necessary to enter or win", whereas the front page states you have won!!! I would love to know what happens to all those 14.95 fees that people will no doubt pay them.
Surely there must be some sort of law against people doing this? Who are they, as previous to this I have never heard from nor been contacted by them.
Their letter is definately going where it belongs - IN THE BIN!!! and they wont be getting any money out of me.

Money Scam
I received a letter today from these people and could not beleive my luck! The letter said I had won a cash prise of £550, 000.00! I thought it was too good to be true and my suspicions arose when they asked for £14.95 to process my winnings! Are they having a laugh? Take it out of my cash prise you idiots! Obviously I checked out the company and thank god for the internet. But, what I have done, is sent back my claim form with no money or details of my bank or credit cards and have asked them to deduct the £14.95 from the £550, 000.00 they are holding for me! I do not expect a dream cheque to arrive and god knows I need it! But, we should all be aware that if anyone asks for money in return of a prise, it is undoubtedly very much a 'Scam'! I will be waiting for the rest of my life for a £549, 985.05 cheque! If only hey.
