calendar
We were sent a 2011 Street Machine Calendar several months ago and we did not order the calendar so we will not pay for it. We keep getting bills for this and threating to turn this over to a collection agency. We called and got a return label to return the calendar and we did return it but keep getting bills and threating to turn over to a collection agency. WHY??????? If you did not receive the calendar that is not our fault-we returned it several months ago! We are not going to pay for the calendar because we did not order it. Will you please quit sending us things-stuff that we do not order.

continued billing for returned item
I accepted the first saw on an offer and paid for it but returned the second saw which was a folding landscape saw which I have several already. I have been billed several times after I wrote on the bill that the saw was returned by mail. I also found the saw that I did purchase did not preform as well as it was advertised. I did like the reverse draw onthe saw but the teeth broke off the blade while cutting relatively soft material. This offer is such a disappointment that I am considering canceling my membership with the club.

unauthorized shipment of drill bits
The Handyman Club of America sent us an unrequested 5 piece Flush Trim Bit set and then said we had to pay for them or send them back. I knew that if something is sent unsolicited that you do NOT have to pay for it OR send it back so I wrote that on the bill. THEN we got another bill. It is nearly impossible to contact them. The phone number just gives you a round robin of prompts but the only way I found to get a real person was to enter our membership number incorrectly several times. I told the person who answered that what they were doing was illegal. She put me on hold and finally came back and said "All right, you arent going to mail it back or pay for it?" When I said that was right, she said to disregard the payment notice.
I am certain this is not the end of this. This company should be out of business. The parent company is North American Outdoor group and I will notify the post office, the Better Business Bureau and any internet site I can to alert people to what a dishonest company this is!

resending same payments
This is the second time that I have sent in a letter to Handyman Club of America, indicating that we sent the book back on the 9th of Mar. and we still keep getting a bill in the mail to pay for the book, which we did not ask to have sent to us in the first place. The reference # is 70612708. If this does not stop, I will not longer renew my subscription to handyman. Please see to it that no more bills are sent.

Products scam
I have quit my membership to this scam of an organization. THey have an escalating program where they send products that you do not request and expect payment. Its start with books, then videos and now has escalated to expensive router bits. They make it easy for you to send back however they say they never receive the merchandise back and then hound you with bills. Please stay away from this organization.

a fake company, they keep billing you over and over again . No company phone number. And they do not send you the other products.
I paid the $24.00 for the year. I never got the free 35-pocket bucket organizer or anything else that they promised, BUT they did CASH my CHECK! There is no phone number on any bill they keep sending me.
THEY ARE STILL BILLING ME !!!

Bill For 12 Months Membership Unauthorized
I was billed with a statement sent to me for a 12 months membership unauthorized without me knowing.
No number on the statement where I could contact them, but only a "Pay online" web address where they ask
for my check account # or credit card # (method of payment so to speak). My Billing/Reference # on the statement is : LMTG9803.

take double payments freom my bank account
I became a lifetime member of Handyman club of America and have nothing but problems with them since the beginning but have tried to stick it out. But recently was the last straw when I made an online payment as I always due for my monthly membership and the book I received and the amount came to $61.89 and thats what they said. When I later the next day checked my bank account they had taken out 2 months dues so I called them and they said they would refund me the 1 months dues it would be there in 3 buisness days. So I checked in 4 days and it was there but then I say they double charged me for the book the next day slao after I had talked to them an additional $33 and change. How they can not notice they charged me for the same book twice on the same day is beyond me. This has been an ongoing battle with them since joining back on August 27th 2010 when they said I owed membership dues from august 1st when I didnt become a member till august 27th therefore making all my membership payments late because I refused to pay the first one I didnt owe. ALL I CAN SAY IS BUYER BEWARE I am now cancelling my subscription I cant take it anymore.
