I had made an appointment for an estimate for work to be done on a wall in my living room. I made this appointment for 10 days later. I was sent 2 confirmations for the date and time within those 10 days. On the day of the appointment I received a 3rd confirmation via email. 2 minutes after the last confirmation was sent I received a phone call telling me that the person who was supposed to come out couldn't make it at the time of the appointment an would like to come later that day. I received this call 1 1/2 hours before he was due at my house.

I declined to have him come later that day and called back a few days later to reschedule. This time the man showed up 2 hours late!

The man looked at my wall and started writing out an estimate. He then told me that it would be $1200.00. I told him there was no way I would pay that much. He then started talking about how he could possibly do it for less. Said that he could use some supplies that he had at the shop and that there were some coupons that he could help me out with. He brought the price down from $1200.00 to $750.00.

I later had an independent person come by to give me an estimate. His estimate was $200.00 plus materials. The next day I had another independent person come by to give me an estimate. His estimate was $200.00 TOTAL including materials! Needless to say I had this man do the job. He showed up on time for both the estimate and job. He did a perfect job and cleaned up after himself.

I would NEVER use Handyman Connection! They will rip you off!! I would like to know how they could drop their price $450.00 while giving me an estimate to begin with. Then to find that the job was only a $200.00 job!?!? Are you kidding me?!?!
