I was also a victim of this fraud. I rented a trailer for a week in July 2010. It was dirty and nothing worked. I could not use the water or refrigerator the entire week. I was promised my deposit back 10 days after the return of the trailer and I never received it. I called several times, left several messages, sat in front of the rental location for many, many hours. I did connect with a man named Steve, he was renting to another customer. I wanred the customer about the deposit and told him I was not leaving until he got Michelle (owner) on the phone. I waited about 3 hours and then he snuck out the back way. Very disappointing. I am a single mother and I saved for this trip for a very long time. I took the deposit from my mortgage payment and well, that was stupid. Now I am in even a bigger bind...
