Metal blade arm broke - dangerous
Blade arm on ceiling fan broke completely in half and slung the blade across the room against the wall and behind the television; lucky nobody was standing there as this was a very large blade and it put a hole in the wall. Unable to find a replacement part anywhere; HarborBreeze website is totally worthless. Lowe's was no help. Looks like I'll be purchasing a new (different brand) ceiling fan - this one was NOT old and rarely used.

Noisy operation
I purchased and installed a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan and light for my dining room recently and the noise level of this fan at all speeds is unacceptable. This fan is the brand that Lowes uses. I called Lowes and told them about the problem and the employee told me I could make a warranty claim if the unit was older than 90 days since purchase. I have found other complaints about this brand on this site so I am starting to think that this product is not very good quality.

Space Ship Ceiling Fan
I bought a Harbor Breeze space ship ceiling fan for my 4yr old. He had been wanting it for some time. He was so excited, but when it was installed ( which i had to pay an electrician to do) it did not give any more light than a night light. Very cute in the room but gave NO light, so I now am having to pay to have it taken down drive the 15 miles to town to get a different fan. What a disappointment to my little guy. The store had no idea just said you can return it, WELL YEAH !! How misleading ! Make sure when you but cute accessories they actually serve a purpose not just look pretty . Who ever heard of a ceiling fan just for decorations !!!

Fan will not turn
I purchased two Harbor Breeze ceiling fans with light kits. A few weeks ago the fan stopped running. In the on position you can hear and feel the motor trying to operate but the fan blades will not move. Model: YU-C52WCF (BAOD52-5LKL) Feb 2006 "YY", 5 blade. The light works fine. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Ceiling fan scraping on all speeds too loud
I purchased this house in dec, 07. The ceiling fan worked fine, About a week ago June 1st, the fan sound like its scraping on high medium or low, which ever setting. Do I need to pack it with grease or is it time for a new fan?

Ceiling fan!
About nine months ago I purchased a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan from Lowe's. It was rated for outdoor use, and I installed in on my deck. During the winter, two blades snapped off of the fan at the base. Lowe's told me they cannot get replacement blades for the fan, so it is totally useless. I would never recommend Harbor Breeze fans.

Bad quality product!
My husband and I purchased the Harbor Breeze Galileo celing fan for our 9 year old sons room. We purchased this fan from our local Lowes' store about a year and half ago. My son thought the fan was pretty cool. There are three spotlight type lights that hang from the center of the fixture and a top light in the dome. The "spotlights" are adjustable to which direction you want the lights to shine. They can point up at the ceiling, at the walls, or towards the floor. The lights can be very bright . We had the lights pointed towards the ceiling so they weren't blinding us or him. Today I was cleaning the dust off the tops of the blades and that's when I seen that 3 of the 4 blades have burnt. I mean that they actually started to catch fire. The heat from the lights started to burn the blades. Right through the enamel down to the wood. There are actual char marks on the blades. If it actually started a fire I would not have been able to get to my son because he sleeps in a bunkbed that is right next to this light. The company will probably tell me that the lights should not be pointed upwards. My opinion is that if that's the case then the lights should not adjust in that direction.
