On 7/25/09 my husband and I purchased 10 x 10 gazebo from Harrows in Paramus, NJ. When asked, cashier and salesman told us we had a 10 day return policy. Because of rainy weather, we didn't attempt to assemble the gazebo until 8/2/09. That afternoon we assembled the gazebo on a protected deck in our yard. A moderate rainstorm came through and after about 3 hours of being up, metal parts of the gazebo cracked. They were rusted through.
On 8/3/09 we attemped to return the gazebo to Harrows (within 10 days) was only offered a replacement of the obviously defective product. We told the manager that we didn’t want a replacement for an obviously defective product, we wanted a refund. He told us that these backyard gazebos are not made to withstand a rain storm and that warrantees did not cover an "act of God."
This seems to be their story policy.
