Awful service
My family and I went to Harry A's restaurant on St. George Island, Florida for a dinner. After not being seated and yelled at for not waiting for someone to seat us, we decided to eat there anyway. Big mistake! After 15+ minutes, our messy looking waitress showed up and said "what do you want?" We ordered our meals and two of us had salad with a vinegarette. When the salads arrived, the dressing tasted and had the consistency of cherry jello. I typically do not return food, but it was horrible, so I politely asked our waitress if I can have another salad with a different kind of dressing. She said "Well that was what you ordered!" and "We can't take that back". I then asked if they can remove it from the check and she said they can't do that either because it comes extra with the meal. I asked to speak to her manager, who was equally as messy and downright mean. She told us if we didn't like what we had, we could pay our bill and leave. I requested that we only pay for the salad and they said if we didn't pay for the entire meal, $105, they would call the police, even though we did not eat any food. I stood my ground and they proceeded to yell at my family and myself in front of every other customer in the restaurant. Profanity was used by them and we were told to leave and never return. We reluctantly paid and left Harry A's. I looked on TripAdvisor.com and apparently, the same situation has happened to many people. I am hear to spread the word about the horrible treatment from this trashy establishment. The bartender told me that the owner is a lawyer and was told NEVER to apologize and makes his staff do the same. Is service like this even legal? Should I have waited for the police?
