Kind attention :
1. The Managing Director, Haryana Tourism Corporation.
2. The Chief Wildlife Warden, Haryana.
Elephants are now Indian National heritage animal protected under scheduled one of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972 but these protected Elephants are abused as a tool of publicity, pride, begging and joy rides. Where as these wild animals are banned in all Zoo's by the Central Zoo Authority of India but all concerned authorities are totally failed to protect their wildlife from unnecessary pain and sufferings. People abused these protected animals for financial gain and profit.
Now Haryana Tourism Corporation call tenders for Elephant joy rides in their Dabchick resorts situated at Haryana UP border, these Elephants are controlled through Iron Ankush, which was banned in Rajasthan on PFA Haryana founder chairman Naresh Kadyan's PIL moved in Rajasthan High Court, Jaipur bench. There are no rules, legislation to upkeep Elephants in Haryana. It would be pertinent to mention here that these Elephants are shifted from Assam to Haryana only to earn profit, hence UN affiliated the International Organisation for Animal Protection - OIPA chapter in India along with PFA Haryana issued this open notice to all concerned to with draw all tenders related to joy rides on animals because all these performing animals are not registered with the Animal Welfare Board of India.
