Me and my family have been subjected to a horrendous experience by hathway personnel after applying for Internet connection. The field staff came and collected Rs.1965 in advance and promised to do the installation and connection in 2 days, which of course never happened. Whenever we called the field staff Mr. Rajesh, he promises to call back in 5 mins but never calls at all. After 2 weeks, we somehow got his manager's phone number and we are getting the same rude behavior from him (Mr. Lokesh) too...

Now they a re not even picking calls and bangs the line before we could speak, I am not sure what to do, it has been three weeks now, we still have not yet got the connection. Even if we get the connection eventually, if at all, i can imagine how the service will be!!! Hathway internet folks are real cheats and cannot be trusted for sure, please deal with them at your own risk.

I renewed Hathway – Regular “64 kbps unlimited” connection to Free way – xtra 1:2 “256 kbps unlimited” with customer ID 194137 on September 17, 2007 for half yearly package and paid the full amount in advance. I was guaranteed net speed in-between 120 – 140 kbps but right from the day one the speed was around 20 – 30 kbps. On registering complaint several times, it took Hathway internet three days to send the technical representative to resolve the issue but even the tech representative was unable to resolve the issue and promised to get back to me within two days with resolution. Upon pursuing the complaint they say the complaint is in-process and the tech representative will be there by the end of the day. Still waiting for the tech representative to respond!

Beware!

I had taken a broadband internet connection in Bangalore in December 2006 for a month. On the termination date the engineers failed to collect the modem. After repeated contacts they sent an engineer to collect the modem and terminate the connection, after 1 1/2 months of following up. And then nothing happened! No refunds.

The catch is that they do not tell you to contact the accounts department for claiming the refund. I had to find out myself. And then they ask you whether the termination has taken place. That was in March 2007. It is June 2007 and they are yet to send me the refund. They are not afraid of complaints, so it seems. And the refund/accounts department had the incompetence greater than their field engineers. It has taken them three months to process one cheque of 1000 rupees. And it is still work in progress.

Hathway Internet took 2117/- rs on 8th Nov 2006 for new connection and promise to give new connection in 2days. but after 15 days they said they don't have feasibility and will refund my money in 2 days. Already 1 month gone i keep calling all hathway people but no response. Hathway Internet cheats their clients!
