No refund!
I took hath way connection about 2 years ago. I sent them an email to disconnect the service by 27 december2006 and i must have done around 20 calls to them to take back their modem and repay the amount. They say that they will do it immediately every time I call. I guess these are a bunch of shame less people, I still get a monthly bill till date.

These guys are cheats obviously trying to avoid paying back the Rs 1000 deposit money.

Receiving wrong statements since last 3-4 months!
They have done it again! Since last 3 months I have been receiving extra charges for usage exceed. When I first received such charge, I went to their office in HSR Layout and confirmed with their own employee that their system was messed up during a so called "upgrade". Then he checked the CMTS logs and agreed that the usage data was indeed wrong and generated a new statement. I cleared the amount then and there itself and requested him to send me the "Revised" bill as I suspected the new statement won't be synchronized and I might receive false statement next month.

Fortunately he agreed and sent me the statement! Since then I have been receiving false statements without considering revised statement and every time they agree to credit the amount next bill but fail to do so!

I am also starting formalities to go to CC today.

Service Provided
I had taken Broadband connection from Hathway. I had applied to get the connection shifted and after 15 days of struggle when the executives came up to my place, they were adamant that I should buy the cable through them else they will not be able to provide me with the connection.

The executives to whom I had a talk along with Mr. Vikram Shah were extremely rude and showed a high degree of Unprofessionalism in their work. I am extremely pissed off due to this and now would like to get the connection cancelled. My Customer Code is 60034.

Please refund my entire amount that I had paid in the month of November as the quarterly subscription along with the modem security deposit that I had deposited with you immediately.

Refund and Redressal
I had hired internet services of M/s Hathway Broadband Internet on Jan 16, 2007. The package was for six months with 3GB download capacity. During these six months the service was never reliable. It had lot of interruptions and the service practically came to halt in the month of April 2007. Due to these problems we were unable to utilize even 50% of the download capacity offered by the package, apart from the agony
caused by the inturrupted services.

Despite being aware of the problems faced by us, Hathway sent a
reminder for renewal of the package, for the service that was
practically non-functional since April 2007.

After prolonged communication, Hathway confessed that they are unable to provide these services in our locality. They even agreed to refund all the money that was paid by us for this package.

As I was out of India, I had told Hathway not to take away their equipment (Modem) till I return to Mumbai. Based on my experience with them, I had told them to take the Modem only after sending the refund cheque. However, their technicians visited our house in my absence and took away the modem by misleading my 80 year old mother. After taking the situation in their control Hathway is ignoring my requests for the refund as agreed earlier.

So far, I have written 40 emails to Hathway on this issue which should have been resolved long ago.

Poor service with cheating
I have paid Rs. 1500 for broadband internet service on 19th July 2007 for my husband name P.Arikaran. He is doing his Ph.D work. he needs internet connection very urgently. But till today we have not received the connection. We are making phone calls continuously to hathway people. Till get the payment they are behaving cool after the payment they are not giving any response to our phone calls. We are fed up and my husband thesis work also affected. He took leave for his study. Since unavailability of internet service he could not able to utilize his leave for his study. Also mentally we got tension.

Delay in service activation
Given payment for 6 months broadband internet connection but not activating the connection even after 10 days. Continuous telephone complaints being neglected. Very poor service!
