Dear Sir or Madam:
My husband and I were on our honeymoon on a cruise ship through Royal Caribbean called the “Grandeur of the Seas”. The last port we stopped in was Cozumel, MX. I have purchased jewelry out of the country before a few years ago in Puerto Vallarta, MX and the jewelry was genuine, and not fake. My husband and I purchased rings from NOVIA DEL MAR (they sold jewelry & souvenirs). We were told my husband’s ring was “white gold” and could be resized. I was told my ring was “yellow gold and the diamonds were ‘real’”. The guy held it under the light and everything and stated they didn’t sell fake diamonds, etc.
We got back to the states and took my husband’s ring to be resized and the jeweler told us his ring was “stainless steel” not “white gold” and could not be resized. The jeweler then inspected my ring and said, I’m sorry but this is “gold overlay and these diamonds are not real, cz at best. We blew $400 we could have spent on the ship and it ruined the rest of our honeymoon.
PLEASE FORWARD TO ME THE PHONE NUMBER AND/OR MAILING ADDRESS FOR “NOVIA DEL MAR” SO THAT WE CAN SEND THESE RINGS BACK TO THEM. WE’VE ALREADY COMPLAINED TO OUR BANK AND ROYAL CARIBBEAN. PLEASE GET THIS INFO TO ME AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
(WE STILL HAVE THE RINGS/ I WANT TO MAIL THEM BACK TO NOVIA DEL MAR FOR A REFUND)
