Hi,

This is Drishty Maan. I have also faced cruel and rude behaviour of hdfc credit card depatment. I was using credit card in 2009. and i lost my card and informed the same to the bank and asked to issue new card to me. and they didnt issued new card however they started applying charges on me. and didnt gave any information about the new card. also no body has contacted me. In july 2010 i opened new account in hdfc bank and once my salary got credited into the account they placed hold on my account without giving me any intimation. i approached the bank and i shared my problem that i am the only one in my family who is earning and married too also taking care of medical of my brother and mother and both houses. i shoed all supported documents to them but the manager named Ms. ruby anand was very rude with me. not listend to me and after requesting her she gave me the address of her baranch which is in jankpuri. and then she abused me and made me embarrased in public. i also sent online complaint to banking ombudsman and to senior of hdfc bank and they also shouted on me and didnt gave me any resolution. as they told me to make the payment in 15 days as my account was on hold i tried everything. i also requested to them to please release small amount for me as it is very urgent for me but they didnt listened to me. and the day my amount got debited i called manager again to do something for me and she again denied and spaeking rudely to me. everytime i was saying i am ready to make settlement of the amount but they were not agreeing on that. and harassing me. and the bank manger is saying that your account will remain on hold, any amount in this account will be debited towards the card payment. i am in big pain its very urgent for me please help me. i have also menytioned that the terms and policies of card were never discussed as card was offered to me by bank. and i never chosed option of connecting my account to credit card...its a matter of life and death for me. pls help me so that bank can relase few funds of mine and ready to made settlement for me.

ISSUING CHEC
I had made a request for cheque on September 1st 2010. Till today(17/9/2010) i haven't recieved the cheque book after continous followup with the phone banking and visiting personally to the branch there is no update.I suggest not to open any new accounts with HDFC Bank as it is a poor service provider compared to other banks in India.
After raising a complaint and forwarding the issue to the Greivance cell with HDFC bank there is no update. If this is the case for cheque book suppose something has happened in your account then we is responsible.I suggest RBI to take serious action on not resolving the customer issues in certain time period to charge the Banks for penality for RBI and give certain response to the RBI or GOI.

Customer Service
I have a different outlook towards HDFC bank just before i went there Lajpat Nagar -2 branch in New delhi on 15th september 2010.Because its a second largest bank in Private sector in india. I just dreamed about the service get from the bank. But when i reached there, all the things were changed suddenly, allmost all the employees were insulted me as a person/cusomer. And they even doesnt show any kind of patience for the purpose i went there. I am a Grad. CWA, know the proffessional ethics and how to serve a customer. Just loss the Bank`s image thruogh some of the employees from my mind. Frankly say their behavior was absolutely bad and i feel pathetic.
For the timebeing i didnt mentione the employees name...
So please make sure that the employees are capable of handling the cusomer before hiring them

not received cheque book,debit card and pass book yet
SIR,
I AM SURENDER BAISOYA, I OPEN MY ACCOUNT 25 DAYS AGO FROM BRANCH OF SAROJINI NAGAR MARKET {NEW DELHI}110023.BUT I NOT RECEIVED MY CHEQUE BOOK, DEBIT CARD AND PASSBOOK YET.I JUST GO THERE SO MANY TIMES ALSO BUT THE STAFF OF BANK NOT GIVE ANY RESPONSE OF MY COMPLAINT.I THINK GOVERNMENT BANKS ARE MORE ACTIVE THAN THIS {HDFC} BANK.AND THEY ALSO TELLING LIE THAT THEY SENDED ME THOSE WELCOME KITS{CHEQUE BOOK AND DEBIT CARD} ALREADY..BUT THE TRUTH IS I DIDNT' GET ANY THING YET.

Sir,

I am an account holder in your bank. Yesterday 02/08/2010 at 19:31:50 hrs, using my ATM card at Syndicate bank’s ATM at I.P. estate, ITO branch the amount of Rs. 4500/- had been deducted from my account but the machine did not dispensed the Cash. I have lodged a complain at your customer care and the complaint no. is 105260. Request you to please check and correct the fault.

Because of customer cares fault, I had to lose 14000 INR
I was holding HDFC Silver credit card.Unfortunately credit card got misused in the month of March 2007, I have the exact Date of Misuse at Home and I launched the complaint with the customer care after seeing misused amount around 17000 INR.The customer care blocked the credit card and issued a new card to me and assured me that they will proceed with investigation.

They kept adding the finance charges in the statement for misused amount.When I called up to ask the status post 1 mnth, they said it will take 45 days and the investigation is still in PROGRESS.When I called up post 45 days, the representative said, I have to request in writing commencing the investigation about misuse and I was never told that before.When I faxed the misused transactions.I got a reply saying they cant proceed without any kind of investigation and I am liable to pay the whole amount as they cant initiate dispute with third party bank post 45 days.

So I kept denying from paying the misused amount whenever I got calls from the collection Department.Finally they put 14000 in my debit a/c on HOLD as I had debit a/c with HDFC.and then they debited that amount as I was not ready to pay the misused amount.

SO i had to suffer for nothing.I had launched complaint with customer and nobody informed me at that time to request in writing for commencing investigation.Otherwise I would have sent the fax at the same time and I wouldnt have to pay that amount.

So because of customer cares fault, I had to lose 14000 INR.
