incorrct information provide & pathetic custmr service
HI,
Im very fustrated and angry, i was quoted on the two wheeler loan of 38000.00 an emi of 1766 for 23months . by an asst. manager of the aundh banch pune. then i got a call from one of the repersentative of HDFC who informed me that the emi that was quoted me was incorrect as it was my pre-approved loan i got 2% less than what was quote.
i recived a sms rcently which states that the emi was 1942.00 which was shocking i called up the manager immediatly i was assured by Mr. Sanjay Mache in Aundh that it was an error and will sent mail to th higher authority to revert the same . after few days when i called to follow up on the same i was notified that nothing was done and i had to go with the same emi (1942)
im furious and was very dis-satisfied . (

New Prepayment Restrictions
I took a loan from HDFC last year. I propose to prepay the loan in asap. However, yesterday the Lower Parel branch informed me that with effect from 1 May 2010, borrowers can prepay only twice a year. Firstly, this is not a fair policy particularly when HDFC charges a prepayment penalty. Secondly, they are so bold that they are openly telling me that they do not need to inform the borrowers about such an important change. I was not even informed when I went to prepay in June. I do not even have these new rules which they are implementing. How do I proceed?

As Usual..Debit Card
As I can see from the prelogue of the complaints here, its no wonder saying that HDFC banks suck big time as far as maintaining credit/debit cards are concerned.
Morover, this is one bank in the history of banks in india that do not have money withdrawal forms in their banks.Saying this, if I am in a HDFC bank where I have my account and I need to withdraw money from my own account, I need
1.Either the debit card which considering u r using one would be an easy task but if u dont have one or want to have one wouldnt be made available in the next several decades considering the poor knowledge and working style of the bank.
HDFC in india has the poor qualities of a public sector bank like SBI, Bank of Baroda etc along with the poor qualities of private banks.
HDFC bank is a premium combo of all the poor quality banks in india.
2.A cheque book, which i need to carry everytime i wish to withdraw money from the branch where i have my own account.
so i need to issue a cheque in my own name(It cant be more stupid and idiotic, trust me), enter the queue and get it cashed.
By the way, If you dont have a cheque book, or the one that you have is over with the leaves, you need to apply for a new one, which if miracle happens you can get in the next few months.
If you have to update you own address of telephone number, You need to wait an entire lifetime before it gets updated.
I am pretty over with my experince with this bank and I am pretty close to ending my relationships with this bank.

DELAY IN PROVIDING DEBIT CARD AND CHEQUE BOOK
I HAD AN HDFC BANK SALARY ACCOUNT (AT HDFC BANK, C-17, ANAND NIKETAN BRANCH, CHANAKYA PURI ) WITH ACT NO-03361140001410 WHICH I HAVE BEEN USING FOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS. 3 WEEKS BACK MY DEBIT CARD GOT CAPTURED IN ANOTHER BANKS ATM BECAUSE OF SOME MAL FUNCTION AND I HAD TO APPROACH MY BRANCH FOR A REPLACEMENT. EVEN AFTER FOUR VISITS TO THE BRANCH IN THREE WEEKS UP TO JUNE 29, 2010 AND FILLING UP OF NUMEROUS FORMS THEY COULDNOT PROVIDE ME WITH AN REPLACEMENT DEBIT CARD, CHEQUE BOOK OR PHONE BANKING OR NET BANKING PIN AT THE BRANCH. THEY WERE NOT WILLING TO UPDATE EITHER MY PHONE NUMBER OR ADDRESS EVEN AFTER I PROVIDED LEASE AGREEMENT FOR HOME AS ADDRESS PROOF. THIS IS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING AND UNACCEPTABLE IN AN AGE WHERE OTHER BANKS ARE LOOKING TO PROVIDE COMPETITIVE SERVICES. SO PEOPLE PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHOM YOU OPEN SALARY ACCOUNTS WITH.

The above mentioned card from HDFC bank was issued under the name of Mikhail M Zope, however, I (Mikhail M Zope) have never received this card from the bank. Amount of Rs 36000/- was swiped in the year 2005, after which there were no other purchases.I was not aware of the existence of this card leave alone the amount swiped.5 years later, 5th June 2010, I receive a call from Inspector M S Khan (Cell# 9579471605)from Dadar police station (New Court) informing me about the Non-bail able warrant was being issued in my name for Monday 7th June 2010. I asked the inspector what was it regarding, the inspector stated that he did not have any idea about it however, gave me the lawyer’s name and cell phone number to get the details.I called the Lawyer Mr. Sameer ( Cell# 9718087059), he stated that I have a card issued by HDFC bank with the outstanding amount of Rs 141000/- (Swipe of Rs 36000 and rest was interest).Then I informed him about the situation, that I do not have OR have had a card from HDFC Bank.The address details and the date of birth was the same as mine, however the cell phone number was not mine. I then asked him if there were any legal notices sent to me for this, He stated that there were 3 notices sent to the address which was on the account, this address was my rented address and thus I had moved in 2006 from that location.I then asked about calling me on my cell phone as they have done today, he stated that is not his job. He asked me to rush to the HDFC Bank in Pune (Collections) with my check book before 3 as today is a Saturday and the court will close by 3.00pm. I then rushed to the bank for details, I met Mr Ravi who was dealing with this case, he stated that he could not provide me with the account details or the legal notices, he only asked for the money, I was in no condition to pay this amount as it was not my fault, however, he stated that if i don’t make the payment of Rs 59275/- today i will be arrested by Monday.I then spoke to Mr Kadam (Mumbai – HDFC Manager), he stated that I have to provide 2 cheques with the amount of 30000/- and 29275/- respectively or else would be arrested on Monday morning.This is a fraud case and I am from a good family and a respectable position in society, thus under pressure of the case made 2 cheques as requested and handed it over to Mr Ravi who then gave me 2 receipts for the same.I would request you to take this case up on high priority as I am also registering this with the RBI with the help of my lawyer. HDFC has harassed me and since I am a heart patient I am suffering a great deal.

DELAY IN SENDING ATM & A/C OPENING
WE HAVE APPLIED IN HDFC BANK TALAB TILLO ( JAMMU ) FOR A/C OPENING & ATM FOR SOME EMPLOYEES BUT WE HAVEN'T RECEIVE THEIR ATM & ITS PIN NO. EVEN AFTER 3 MONTH OF FORM SUBMISSION. IN SPITE OF REGULAR ENQUIRY FROM THE OFFICIAL OF THE BANK, THEY DIDN'T PROVIDE US THE CORRECT INFO. & MISGUIDE US.

kidnapped my brother
On 26th April 2010 my brother ( bala ) kidnapped from his residence by four members ( one person name and phone number is mr sarangan 9884304001working in HDFC) came of Collections and of came and trespass and kidnap in the house and got documents evidences bills certificates and seal of the company and kidnap my brother to their spot and demand the money of 4.5 lakhs on the same day immediately have so I paid now I don’t know his stage where he is. I gave complain in regard of this but they are taking steps faster. Please arrange steps faster to search my brother. Now hdfc bank give support to him and take Mr bala to mumbai and they are asking more money i don't now what i have to do Now. I came to know one thing HDFC is not a bank they are kidnapers. So please alert your self.
