Wrongly debited!
I have HDFC bank credit card no 4346 7710 0962 3118 in last month statement my A/c debited with Rs 337.08 dated 30/05/07 due to cheque return. In last month dated 21/5/07 they give me both debit & credit against my ch no 845245 in these days I have sufficient fund in my a/c & after it I had deposited my dues dated 26/5/07 Rs 500/. After this bank give my cheque in clearing & it dishonored, it is purely fault of bank!

Regular calls for Credit card
I am an account holder with HDFC bank and I get regular calls for credit cards instead of saying that I don't need it. They keep on insisting that they won't stop calling until I take it.

Threatening calls
One mr abhijit rajpal had been calling from 020 30281609. On the 23 may 2007 for at least six times talked very rudely is this customer care? He must be taken to task. How can hdfc employ, hire such guys.

Terrible HDFC customer care experience
I am HDFC credit card customer since 1 year. Today I had called to your customer care, bangalore office on 08066224332 regarding my card payment. A guy named "RAFIQ" had picked up the phone. I got really very bad experience with this hopeless guy. This guy does not know how to talk to the customer. He was so arrogant while talking that he was doing some favor on me. I am requesting you to kindly take some severe action on this crap guy, so that he will understand that he is working in Customer CARE and not Customer HARASSMENT. I am going to share this with all my friends and all online groups I am registered with.

No statements / harassing customers / pathetic service
I have been using HDFC credit card for some time and the performance is pathetic as compared to other credit cards that I have been using.

1. These people never send the credit card statements on time. It is not always possible to get the amount known from the call centre guy who is another nuisance.

2. If we ask for the breakup these people behave very rudely and there have been instances where the phone was slammed down on my face by the HYDERABAD, India call center people.

3. These people use threatening measures to harass their own customers to extort money from them without even producing the statement. I have not yet received any statements despite repeated requests. But when it comes on the money collection part they make it a point to call up the customers and use threatening tones to collect the money. (+91-40--6638-9116)

NO STATEMENT on time ---> NO PAYMENT on time... payment of only the amount that we have used.

NO STATEMENT ---> NO PAYMENT at all.

The service is an absolute nuisance.

Personal loans brings you one step closer to your nightmares!
It is a little strange to see that HDFC Website address exits. As per their manager, it does not. I had the misfortune to take a personal loan with HDFC, my first encounter and thankfully the last. I, Noman Syed had taken a Personal loan with HDFC on May06 and have been thinking of repaying it from June 06,... reason No customer service (cant say bad cant term what was provided in name of customer service as SERVICE) .On my first opportunity I took another loan from a better bank and called HDFC to close the loan and then life gave me the chance to get in touch with the worst, incompetent, unqualified, rude and in human service agents ever. So I thought maybe I should go to the branch and talk to a HDFC manager. I had more pain in store for me. I told I wanted to close the loan dated 12/02/2007 and had the money to do that and was given a closing amount letter, which was incorrect as it had not calculated my dues correctly... they showed OSD (out standing just in case the one who is reading this mail doesn’t understand banking like all HDFC employees) for a payment that I had made on September 06 which they claimed has mysteriously gone MISSING, it got credited to a different account, is HDFC still using ledgers and balance books??? Was informed that since it has got credited to a different account (this is after submitting more proof then Charles Sobhraj did in his murder trial) that it cant be credited to my account as HDFC doesn’t have the provision to credit it to the correct account (books may have got burnt) and an approval ( from may be Prime Minister of Mars) will be needed to do that. Then I got the pleasure to met a specific calling himself human in HDFC called Mihir Shroff, claiming to a collections manager (If he is a manager I am Shahruk Khan). The Manager Shroff took 38 days to tell me nothing can be done, Manager Shroff informed me that he is giving me a waiver of Rs.6689 (this is the EMI that I had paid and have proof for) as if he is done a great act of kindness on me and Manager Shroff then told me that the mistake was all mine because the loan account number on the cheque was incorrect (strange it was filled by the collections guy, did come to the wrong place or are their more Noman Syeds, i have heard that there are 7 people with the same face in the world at one given time, may be he got confused) and Manager Shroff then asked me that I will have to pay Rs.4000 (approx) more, for the 38 Days as interest when he was getting to trunk call the Prime minister in mars (for the approval) Manager Shroff also has to audacity to tell me that he cant do anything and to call customer service ( if HDFC has ever heard anything that sounds like it) resolve any further issue, when I told him that if a manager cant help what will an agent do, said he cant do anything, not a surprise, then when I asked if there a Website address where I can complain he said NO it doesn’t exits, cool which training outsource do you guys in HDFC use.Then I (good customer wrong bank) agreed to pay anything just to get RID of HDFC and Manager Shroff (anyways we in Islam believe in charity. This time to HDFC) Please continue the good work HDFC, get more customers to play with and earn more, anyways HDFC slogan says “Personal Loans brings you one step closer to your nightmares”.

Rude & impolite behavior at the HDFC help desk
I wrote this complaint to the HDFC Bank Manager, Mr. Dhruv Mathur on 3rd Nov'2006 both on mail & dropped a letter at the bank counter. Here I am pasting the matter :-

Sub: Complaint regarding rude & impolite behavior at the HDFC help desk

I am VIKAS working with HCL Infosystems Ltd., currently posted in Police Station R.K. Puram, New Delhi - 110022. Sir, I came in the HDFC Branch in D-9, South Extension, Part - II, New Delhi - 110049 in the morning around 10:50AM. I and my mother wanted to open a Joint Savings Account. Sir, to my shock we were denied for the same as both of us (me & my mom) do not use sir names, we just have names as SHOBHA (my mom) & VIKAS.
The person at the help desk (inquiry), just on the right side of the entry gate talked very impolitely & rudely, we were told that we cant open a joint account as we do not use sir names. Sir, I would like to bring to your notice that we were carrying all the original of our identities i.e. passport and PAN cards which also bear just a single name (not the sir names). When I told him that my mother has an active HDFC savings account (Vasant Vihar Branch) on a single name only, he told us that now the Rules have been changed. My mother's account no. is 0111000131250 & the ATM card No. is 4386 2401 0919 3233.
And to the limit, when I asked him kindly to be polite he said, "Does it matter being polite or impolite, account to nahi khulega na". Sir, I do understand that company policy can change anytime, BUT is this the way to talk to the customers.
Moreover, I immediately went to the HDFC branch in Vasant Vihar where my mother has an active savings account. I asked them the same thing without telling them about the South Extension Branch incident. Sir, here after seeing my originals, the concerned person there i.e. Ms. Abha Kothari told me that it is possible to open a Joint Savings Account, and there is absolutely no problem in it.
I don’t know the name of the male staff there who misbehaved with me and my mom, but I can recognize him. You can inquire about him as he was at the help desk (inquiry), just on the right side of the entry gate at 10:50 to 11:00PM (that is the time when we left).
I would request you to kindly look into this matter. I would also like to be informed what action you have taken. I can come there at anytime in case you need me, the bank is quite near to my office i.e. Police Station R.K. Puram.
The reason for my complaint is not to open an account. I just want your staff to be polite and courteous.
